The Danger To America Is Not Barack Obama
Hear Us Now ^ | 09.16.11 | InvaderZim

I heard the quote below read on the Glenn Beck radio program today.

He attributed it to a newspaper article from the Czech Republic Observer. I have so far been unable to find the actual article, though I have found a few references to it which indicate that the article, if genuine, was written at least a few months ago.

No matter if the article is genuine or not, the passage is fine and accurate in my opinion.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President."

Not usually the kind of thing I post here. But I got enough email and hits on the site after my little post was mentioned on Grassroots Radio Colorado, that I figured there was some interest.

So, this seemed like a logical place to share it further.

A small percent of the feed back I got back was in disagreement with the passage from the newspaper. The majority of the comments were in agreement.

I think Glenn has jumped the proverbial shark. It’s no longer about the message it’s about him.

I think the Czech Republic Observer can kiss my red, white and blue butt. As if any of those yahoos are any better.

The world especially those Europeans LOVE Obama and if they could have voted for him— they sure the heck would have.

It is not a problem with the USA, it’s a problem with the world! Look at these global-warming loons and the UN, PC diversity stuff.

The world has a problem and we are all in for a ride if we don’t all wake up.

This is true. Elections are all well and good, but we have problems of a fundamental nature that elections can't solve.

American education is horrid. Our collective moral ethos has been nearly destroyed. The breakdown of the familiy is out of control. Our political, financial and legal systems are breaking down. We're in the sewer culturally with our music, art, film and other media.

All of this adds up to a gradual breakdown of our once great country.

Elections aren't going to help much if all we're accomplishing is throwing out the party in power every 2-4 years. Unless we somehow rebuild our families, traditions and institutions we'll continue to decline.

What's scary is that 40 some-odd percent of people still think Maobama is doing a good job. What does THAT tell you?

Actually, the Czechs have shown pretty good sense. When they and the Slovaks realized that they weren’t compatible at all, much like liberals and conservatives, they decided that it was probably best for each to go their own way instead of having some long drawn out conflict (either cold or hot.)

The premise is correct. After all, Obama didn’t just walk into the Oval Office; he was voted into it, and when he leaves, those who voted for him will still be able to repeat their irresponsible behavior with some other liberal du jour.

Timely post. On this day in 1787, Constitution Day, Benjamin Franklin said:

“In these sentiments, Sir, I agree to this Constitution with all its faults, if they are such; because I think a general Government necessary for us, and there is no form of Government but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered, and believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic Government, being incapable of any other.”

A republic can do no better than its people.

That the MSM still has a lock on at least 40% of the respondents? People can only make decisions on the information that they have. Control the information flow, and you control the people.

The premise assumes that the electorate had good information. People can only make decisions on the information that they have. A very large number of people have learned that the MSM played them for fools.

Actually, 40% represent his real constituency made up of hardcore libs and those who benefit directly from his policies.

Continuing the thought, perhaps specifying it.

The undoing begins with the egalitarian notion of universal suffrage.

A few days ago, a Congresswoman from Illinois stated that the American People do not deserve to keep the money that they earn.

In fact, the American People who believe such immoral nonsense do not deserve the privilege of voting for such Collective Statist Looters.

The logical result of giving the vote to the Lumpenproletariat is the ascendance of the AufgeblasenBlutegelBourgeoisieBurokraten.

True, but probably not true enough to keep about 2/3 of those from voting for Obama again.

While FR, Beck, Rush, Hannity keep exposing the lies of the MSM, the data still doesn't reach enough people to prevent the insanity from continuing. The have created a bunch of "Other people's money addicts" and it will take some real pain (and probably riots and dead people) to wean them off so many won't listen. It would be nice to be able to thwart the MSM without having to step on one lie at a time, but, barring some real epiphanies and/or spiritual experiences, they will likely step it up rather than tone it down.

You really should read Franklin’s words who should settle America. He did not want the inhabitants of Mars to look down and see...

Every age and generation must be as free to act for itself in all cases as the ages and generations which preceded it. The vanity of governing beyond the grave is the most ridiculous and insolent of all tyrannies. -- Thomas Paine

I'm afraid T.P. didn't consider the possibility that each ensuing generation would become more ridiculous than the previous. His assumption was that future generations, in their deeper enlightenment, would/should be able to reset if things went off the rails. Instead we're left with the ridiculous insolence of Wilson, FDR, etc. and little prospect of a reset.

Hardly earth shattering. I hear that sentiment articulated daily on Michael Savage's show.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency."
The central issue, to me, is that the general public has lost sight of the principal job of the President of the United States: he's the Chief Executive Officer of this "company", and the Supreme Commander of its armed forces.

The major media, during the prior election cycle, didn't ask the right questions, like "What experience as an executive does Obama bring to the table?" Or "what is his military experience?" Indeed, I believe that more was made about the tone of his skin than about his achievements in getting people to pull the cart together.

Indeed, witness if you will the still-continuing suppression of objective facts, such as publications (the written word is the job of a lawyer, after all, especially for the editor of his school's Law Review), his grades in college, and details of his "executive experience" in his post-school life. Are the facts so dark that Obama is afraid they will torpedo his reelection?

This situation is more an indictment of the current organized education system, turning out inferior product of your children. Just as the religious organizations have long distrusted the Public Educator, now it's time for the rest of us to look at the harm that the public education system, as currently constituted, is inflicting on our population. We have come a long way from the Schoolmarm providing basic life skills to six grades of children in one schoolhouse.

Yes, I agree that Barack Obama is a symptom of a much bigger problem. Yet, like a high fever, the symptom can cause its own damage to the body politic. It isn't a zero-sum game, after all.
