Smear, Inc.: Silencing the Critics of Islamic Supremacism
Assyrian News Agency ^ | 9-14-2011 | Mark Tapson

The recently released report "Fear, Inc.: The Roots of the Islamophobia Network in America," from the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress (CAP), purports to expose a sinister network of American "Islamophobes" funded by a "flood of cash" who manufacture conspiracy theories about Islam, spread hate and bigotry against all Muslim-Americans, and inspire violence toward them, all for financial and political gain. But in fact, the very concept of Islamophobia is manufactured propaganda used by the subversive Muslim Brotherhood and their leftist support network to demonize and silence critics of Islamic fundamentalism.

The authors of "Fear, Inc." are counting on its impressive length (138 pages), cascades of footnotes, a few three-color graphics, and professionally glossy cover to convince readers that it is thoroughly sourced, unbiased and undeniable proof of their thesis. Stephen Walt at Foreign Policy, to name one, seems to have been convinced, calling it "a remarkable piece of investigative work" and then parroting its ludicrous accusation that, instead of the threat of radical Islam, "what we are really facing is a well-funded right-wing collaboration to scare the American people with a bogeyman of their own creation." A bogeyman of their own creation? It takes an impressive degree of ideological self-delusion to convince oneself that Islamic extremism is a mere chimera of the right.

That's a pretty insulting thing to say about the people who expend give their time and energy to publish accurate English translations of the Koran...

All we need to know about Islam we learned on 9-11.

The Cole, the Embasies, the Marine barracks in Lebanon were just practice for their evil ways.

“There is nothing irrational about fearing islam.”

Exactly.

The goal of Islam is to Islamacize the entire world by whatever means necessary. What, should we believe they are only “kidding”?

The history of islam is written in blood and fueled by terror. This is what you get when you follow a religion created by a 9th century warlord. No peace will come from dealing with muslims, period. Anyone who was not born a muslim is beneath their contempt, to be either made a slave or be killed. Their holy book bears this out. The fighters of the crusades knew this, and managed to keep them at bay for some time, knowing that they were a serious threat to the Western civilizations.

The fundamental truth about Islam is that there isn't and cannot ever be a separation of church and state. They are by design one and the same.

This is an issue the liberal left is wholly ignorant of and they presume that any attacks against Islam are racist or ‘phobic’. They're enabling their own destruction. All the liberalizing in the Muslim world occurs at the hands of dictators.

Wherever there has been ‘liberty’ there is a dictatorship willing to protect secularism and minorities. As soon as the Muslim street is allowed to decide they return to barbarism. I believe the Persians and Turks could be exceptions, but the next election in Turkey will decide that and Iran has little chance of seeing any change.

As soon as the Muslim street is allowed to decide they return to barbarism.

Concurring bump. The Ataturk didn't secularize Turkish society just because he got up on that side of the bed one day.

The Kemalists are hard-pressed now, and this stirring-up-Hamas stuff is part of Erdogan's plan to put them away for good. If he wins, they'll wind up political exiles in Europe and America.

Keeping in mind that they went to us in Korea, and that it was Erdogan's crowd that gave us a last-minute shoetop tackle on the eve of the Iraq War.
