I agree. As long as one doesn’t try to take out the other. Same goes for supporters.
Never thought I’d say this, but so far Newt is the only candidate to impress me and to bring a little common sense conservatism to the debates. And I don’t even like the guy. I would welcome Palin to jump in and mix it up a bit. God knows the GOP field needs a little excitement.

And I’m convinced she isn’t running and never has been. The pseudo-candidate status ensures her a platform and news media for every speech-—and that’s a good thing. She can attack Hussein and they HAVE to cover it.
Are you Tammy Bruce by any chance? Not that that is a bad thing, but she always ends her sentences with “just saying.” In fact I kind of think she is attractive.

No. The importance of where the announcement is made is sort of like the importance of being in the delivery room when your baby is born (obviously referring to the father here). What happens after the event is all that’s important. I have four children and was in the delivery room twice, and can’t even remember which children I saw born.
I think she told those radio guys that she would announce on their show. It would be out of character for her to go back on that promise.

Not that my opinion is any more valuable than anyone else's, but I think that she sits out, too. She's more valuable to the GOP as a kingmaker and a lightning rod, and she has to know it. Maybe she gets a position as a cabinet member (Energy?), builds her credentials up some, washes off some of the slime the media has throw on her for the past 3 years, and makes a heavy-duty run in 2016 or 2020.
Lots of wishing and hoping here on FR. I know how the FReepers feel; I felt the same way about Fred Thompson in '08. You know how that turned out.
