No need, I should have been clear.

“As Perry said, the president could issue an executive order telling the head of HHS to give a waiver to every man, woman and child.

No repeal needed to do that.”

That’s what Obama does for his union buddies, grant waivers, so a Republican president could do the same, but IF we get another lib prsident, the lib president could have another Executive Order, and we are back to Square One.

“There simply is no alternative to full repeal of that monstrous law. “

Do we need a super majority to accomplish that?

About the only thing that the Republicans should agree with Pres. Oboma on is the last three words of his address to the joint session : GOD BLESS AMERICA! And I would be inclined to think that M. Bachman has a better idea on how to invoke God’s blessings on this nation, as does also Gov. Rick Perry ( wasn’t he the one who had the courage to conduct a prayer rally ? )

Not if we have a conservative in the White House.

“No, she’s make a great President.”

Michele is not going to win the nomination. She won’t even come in second. While she has the conservative positions nailed down, she’s a Congresswoman. From the House. With zero leadership experience.

The next POTUS will be a SOcialst from Illinois, a Liberal from Massachusetts or a Conservative from Texas with whom we disagree on a few issues.

I know which one of those three I prefer.

Everyone acknowledges Congress needs to repeal the bill.

Romney would direct DHS to grant waivers to all 50 states via executive order. Although someone from Heritage testified the waivers are unconstitutional, Nevada did get one.

Perry's said he'd sign an order that "eliminates as much of ObamaCare that I can have done with an executive order." It's entirely likely none can be but that doesn't call into question his intent. Under Perry, Texas is a member of the multi-state lawsuit against ObamaCare.

What might be done in terms of halting implementation or waivers all depends on the discretion given by Congress in the bill.

I'm pretty sure we have more choices than that. In fact I would say that not all of our choices are yet known. Regardless I'm not so sure how conservative a guy is that was a democrat until '89 and is still pro-illegal immigration as far as I can see.

Think about this for a second...he was a democrat during the following elections, Carter against Ford and then against Reagan, then Mondale against Reagan, and then Gore (not that he won the nomination) against (Dad) Bush. I was just a kid during most of these elections but I remember them quite clearly and I can't imagine being a democrat during these times. Has there ever been a more obvious choice that Reagan vs. Mondale?

If you were to constrain your choices to Perry or Romney vs. Obama, either one of them would be better. What makes Perry a better choice, in your opinion, over Romney?

Perry to me is more “real.” Romney changes his views on issues that are near and dear to me as a conservative depending on the office that he is running for. He is a liar (not that they all aren’t) and a bad one at that. He was pro-abortion AND a Mormon at the same time? That tells me that his faith is nothing more than a prop to him.

Perry was a Democrat yes, but there is no evidence that I can find that shows he was a liberal. In the eighties it was quite possible to be the former without being the latter. Perry was not pro-gay “marriage” or pro-abortion at the same time that he claimed to be a member of a faith that is anathema to those things.

Perry has a jobs record that beats Mitt and crushes Obama.

“With zero leadership experience.”

Michele Bachmann is a born leader. Just one example is how she got thousands, and thousands, from around the country, including Mark Levin, with just a few days’ notice, to come to D.C. to protest Obama/Pelosicare.

“Michele Bachmann is a born leader.”

With ZERO leadership EXPERIENCE. How many times have we heard over the last three years that “The Presidency is not a place for on the job training!”

You think it is?

Carter had executive experience. Who do you think would do a better job, Carter, or Bachmann? I say NO CONTEST - it would be Bachmann!

Obama isn’t even fit for potty training, let alone on-the-job training in the White House.

As I said before, “Michele Bachmann is a born leader. Just one example is how she got thousands, and thousands, from around the country, including Mark Levin, with just a few days’ notice, to come to D.C. to protest Obama/Pelosicare.”

If Carter is the standard, yes Bachmann looks like a good President.
