Posters here at FR had this pegged from the first middle east unrest.
Die-hard liberals and world leaders won’t admit what’s going on until after whatever is going on is basically over and done with.

If Iran makes its move, and the Arab League joins as it is threatening to do, Israel will fight back in kind. If just Iran’s oil production is knocked off line, the world will loose 30% of its crude oil.
This means Famine in America.
I would think this would be of interest.

Could be that both sides are right here, which is what I suspect. Islam's 12th Madhi will appear (also know to us as "Anti-Christ") and Israel will see Eze. 38-39 come to pass. There's also that bit about Damascus becoming a desolate heap over in Isaiah 17 Very good point! Isaiah 17 describes the results (at least partially, for more see Eze 25, 37 and Jer 48, 49)of the Psalm 83 War that will take place BEFORE Eze. 38 war.

Very good point! Isaiah 17 describes the results (at least partially, for more see Eze 25, 37 and Jer 48, 49)of the Psalm 83 War that will take place BEFORE Eze. 38 war. True. I'm not sure what is going to happen here but the players will tell us if it's Psalm 83 or Eze. 38 or what. This will be interesting, to say the least.

Are you saying that would be their excuse to launch a war, or to engage in a "grassy knoll" incident with the Mossad? Sorry I missed this earlier. I'm not suggesting that Israel would do anything of the sort, but what I am suggesting is that if Israel thinks it's going to be standing alone for another 4+ years, they may not deescalate the situation, preferring to get it over with now while their enemies are still not completely aligned against them.
In short, I've always had the impression before that the support of the United States kept Israel from really cleaning some clocks in the Middle East due to the fact that the US was always there with even greater firepower to keep the peace, so Israel tried to absorb as many attacks as it could without hitting back. Now that the support is gone, they may feel constrained in what they can and cannot absorb, understanding as they do that weakness only invites further attacks.

Also it is not in the Israeli interests to wait till the H-Bomb production lines have run for a while in Iran. Better to get it over with before that.

the players will tell us if it's Psalm 83 or Eze. 38 or whatActually, it cannot be Eze. 38 yet. It requires for Israel to live in peace and prosperity, in the middle of the land, with no walls or gates. Obviously Israel is not at peace now. It is not in the middle of the land that God promised to Abraham. They don't live in prosperity, even though the Israeli economy is strong they spend so much on defense. And the West Bank settlements are all fenced in, they are building the security wall...

The title of this article is a huge exaggeration of the actual contents of the article.

I don’t either. The Marxist Muslim in the White House has done his best to replace stable pro-western (sort of)dictatorships with Islamic Mobocracies.
You can’t turn a tribal mentality frozen in the 7th Century, into a citizen who understands the responsibility of democracy based on inherent human rights.
In this B.O. has been actively assisted by those Islamist advisers he retains as well as that vile viper Hillary Clinton (Sorry Cheney - I see no difference between the two aside from color and sex).

>" If just Irans oil production is knocked off line, the world will loose 30% of its crude oil. This means Famine in America. I would think this would be of interest."
??? Iran's production is 5%, not 30%, of the world oil production. Perhaps you are thinking of the entire combined production of the Arab League countries, which is indeed around 30% of the world production. Add in Iran and that's 35% of world supply controlled by countries who might make threats or limit or withhold oil in a new embargo (not to mention Venezuela etc.)
Oil Production by Country
It's rather doubtful that ALL of the oil production of Iran plus all Arab League nations would be offline for too long, for a variety of economic, strategic, and political reasons on various sides. Still, there's no doubt that any disruptions in supply more serious than what's gone on Libya over recent months could have negative effects on the US and world economies. Famine in America?? Hard to see any realistic scenario for that, but we don't need any repeat of 1973-74 or worse....
I never suggested I was not greatly interested or concerned about the situation in the middle east, and especially the security of Israel.... I said only that the headline did not seem to match the content of the article, and that what was actually reported here of the General's remarks did not say that war is "imminent"....
I do not doubt the scope of the potential threats, both to Israel (first and foremost) and to the regional and world economies. I merely noted that the article did not provide evidence for the 'imminence' of the threat stated in the headline, and that I am not aware of credible predictions of a major multi-front war in the next few months. Of course, if Israel is preparing to strike Iran "imminently" then that could fulfill the prediction since the aftermath is not likely to be limited or quickly contained.
