WASHINGTON -- The White House is making it easier for people to press the federal government to act.
It is bringing that age-old constitutional right to petition one's government into the digital age with a new webpage, "We the People," where members of the public will be able to create and sign petitions seeking the government's action on a range of issues.

We the People hereby petition the Congress of the United States to appoint an independent Special Prosecutor, with full investigative powers and complete immunity from coercion, to investigate the involvement of the Federal and state governments at all levels in regards to the Fast and Furious gun running scandal, and all related activity to fascilitate transfer of weapons to, or allow illegal importation and distribution of controlled substances and other contraband from foreign nations across our southern border, or through other points of entry.

Mao Tse Tung did this via newspapers. Then he rounded up the writers and had them executed.

...where members of the public will be able to create and sign petitions seeking the government's action on a range of issues.Folk, folks, calm down. The White House is going to pick the "range of issues", I can guarantee you that.

Community organizing is the only thing he knows. This is the Federal Bureau of Community Organizing. There must be a czar in this story somewhere.

So, I guess a 5000 signature Freeper petition for Obama's resignation wont make the cut.
Nope! Just like everything else this administration does, the guarantee comes with STIPULATIONS!!

My prediction for the first approved petition...5,000 union members submit a petition to do away with presidential term limits.
I think this is scary as hell, people.

To emphasize word-of-mouth organizing, a petition's Web address initially will only be known by the person who created it. The address is not supposed to show up anywhere else on the White House website until 150 signatures have been collected, the officials said.Sounds to me like it's going to be little more than a "malcontent listing".

Fine. I want to inaugurate it with a petition calling for Øbumbler to resign. I think I’ll create it from down at the library...;-)

There are a bunch of PRIVATE outfits that already do exactly that. This is (1) a waste (2) who authorized? (3) likely a payoff to some crony.

Good we can go there and petition that Obama and Holder answer to Fast and Furious and Holder resign and Obama get articles of impeachment.
And a petition that Obama resign.
And a petition that he no longer teleprompt.

Exactly my first thought. They want your names and addresses for his campaign. The lib petitions will win out because conservatives won’t fill out their information to sign any conservative petition and they know it.
To: NowApproachingMidnight
they will have your ip address.
remember flag@whitehouse.gov? they wanted people to report anyone that wasn’t on board with their tax plans.
this would be similar

Go to this LINK and it will give you YOUR IP ADDRESS.
Basically, is it a number that the INTERNET uses like a HOME ADDRESS FOR The MAILMAN.
http://www.ipaddressreport.com/
Everything connected to the internet has to have an ADDRESS so data that travels back and forth knows WHERE to GO.
