GE hasn’t bought any yet. They’re waiting on volume production to start, which is underway now. Hamtramck should be able to churn out almost 4,000 a month by the end of this year.
Then we’ll see if there’s real demand for the cars after the limited number of enviroweenies get theirs.

This is all way past just mistakes. Oops- GE has started taking deliveries of the 2012 Volt. About 2500 have been made and shipped, w/ some going to Cananda and Europe. Fleet is a big chunk - Bloomblurgh had the NYPD buy a bunch for their fleet.
So, did Solyndra actually receive the $535 Million, meaning that we are out $535 Million? If yes, seems almost Criminal!
I’m wondering who reviews business plans, etc. prior to making these type of loans? This loan could not have been “good” when it was made. I wonder if this was a huge scam?

To who? I never see one on the road anywhere I go. Was just commenting over the last weekend as we were heading to the store that I have never seen a Chevy Volt on the road.
We see many a Prius, Some of those Honda’s, and a few Nissan’s, but never anything else.
There is a guy running an old Chevrolet Electric car from the first time they ventured into that business. Looks showroom. I think the guy is a collector. I think they were called the EV-somethingerother.
