Looks like the Chicago School of Bureaucratic Socialism had a bumper crop of students when You Lie was Professor there!
Yessiree! There is no stopping Chicago-style Debt-ocracy! Roll Debt Roll !
Greece’s bonds touched 26 % this morning, so the Illinois debt-o-crats had better get busy!
-— and moving into second place is Gov’nuh Brown-as-dirt - - — .
Oops, sorry. Debt-sport-fever kinda overwhelmed me, I guess.
Anyhoo, Professor You Lie should be very proud of his adopted home state ( what is so funny about that? Hilly, our Secretary of Statements is from Illinois and she adopted a State. ) - - - .
Where was I? Oh yes!
” Illinois has chosen to make the tough choices.
We all have to endure shared sacrifices.
I know that 89,000 workers collecting unemployment checks doesn’t sound like much.
But believe me every penny destroyed means another millimeter deeper in THE VALLY OF DEBT.
Although I require Airforce One to raise against the enemy tea drinkers, I do not consider AF1 to be a Corporate jet.
That is ridiculous! The largest business in the world in the world is not a business.”
I put that last part in quotes so Professor You Lie can quickly pull it out and add it to his Thank You Illinois speech. ( I know he is busy now wring the speech that he said he was going to write. At least that is what he said in his speeches in 3 States.)
On top of all the idiocy that is going on here they’ve just approved a huge increase in the highway tolls. This will cost trucking companies millions.
These guys are idiots.
DuPage is certainly no bastion of Conservatism. I saw Goldwater at Wheaton Central during his campaign, and when he left town, he was the last Conservative seen. The Combine is alive and well in f'd up DuPage. Incompetence and blindness are the two main traits of those in charge.
What a surprise to learn that Maryland is NOT the most business-hostile state in the Union!
That graph says it all.
Give me a jingle when that happens, my friend, and I’ll raise a wee dram or three of Bowmore as I exhale a fragrant cloud of expensive cigar smoke with ya.
It’s not as if we didn’t see it coming. It’s not as if we didn’t warn folks.
In a way, though, it reminds me of one of the final scenes in one of the “Guns of Navarone” movies: “Und nun... sitzen dich.”
Great graph.
“But those idiots shouldn’t for one minute think the Democrats couldn’t do to Chicago what they did to Detroit.”
My neighbor just made the same observation to me....that Chicago is quickly becoming the next Detroit. And the voters will keep voting for the same dregs......
Put out a lawn chair for me too. I’m in far South Lake County...maybe even further away from downtown?? Maybe you should be coming here! LOL
It’s not so much that they’re stupid. They may well be striking a contrarian pose, which is worse in my mind than being stupid. When you’re stupid, you can learn, but if you’re deceiving people just to get their attention, that’s vanity.
Illinois, save yourselves. Kick 0 to the curb.
Kick the dems to the curb.
We keep hearing about these liberal $hithole states “imploding” but they still keep going, at least on the surface.
Show me a massive downsizing of their governmental overhead, or a large scale defualt on government “workers” pensions, and then I’ll know we are getting somewhere.
Sounds like a good party in the making.
Sorry to have to bust your bubble neighbor but:
Illinois corporate tax rate is currently at 7%, while Wisconsin's is currently at 7.9%.
Maybe jms can have his World War Z movie script shot live on location. Mind you, I lived in that town west of East St. Louis, plus the City of Windmills.
Leni
Get this....a brave state rep made a motion to limit the raise to 20%....AND HE DIDN'T GET A SECOND!
EEK!
Leni
Might I suggest that 40 miles is still to close.
I am in the Quad Cities, and that might be to close. It is less than one tank of gas away.
