How can anyone think that Obama is not left enough? What did the leftist expect a complete Communist take over in just 2 years? He got through enough leftist legislation to ruin us, give it time,

What blows me away is the continuous string of arrogant european idiots who think they have half a clue about what motivates americans. I’m talking americans here, not liberals.

I don’t know where Mr Kettle is from, I suspect he resides in Britain.

Europeans engage in a lot of speculation when writing about American politics. (Truth be known, American writers do, too.) It always seems to me those Europeans are engaged in a game, trying to guess what animal has been stuffed into a gunny sack by feeling of that animal through the fabric of the sack.

Typical sneering, condescending hit-piece on U.S. conservatives from the far-left Guardian (U.K.). The gist of this Euroleft tripe is that Europeans are brilliant and unabashedly leftist (and we see how well that worked out). According to the Guardian piece, to their discredit, Americans are less liberal than Europeans but with the election of Obama, showed some promise. As Obama stumbled attempting to 'transform' prosperous, free America into bankrupt, Nanny-state Europe, (according to this article) the insane right-wing (conservatives) formed the TEA party (a state of mind, not a literal political party) and by dominating the Republican party and with their candidate, e.g. Sarah Palin (they hate her guts) possibly winning the next presidential election, may bring America back to prosperity by once again embracing free market capitalism and respecting our constitution. That would be horrible.

Well, if you're a delusional hard-core European leftist, it might seem to be. We disagree. The Guardian can take their European snobbery, their utterly failed left-wing governments, their bankrupt societies and their complete irrelevance in the world today and stuff it. This is America. We laugh out loud at the pseudo-sophistication of bankrupt Europe and their pathetic ridiculous pretensions. America will surmount the dismal results of a four-year experiment in left-wing policies manifested by the worst president in modern U.S. history, Barack Hussein Obama. The oh-so brilliant, 'progressive' European leaders will soon come calling on America with their hands outstretched and cupped, seeking financial succor from the 'dumb' Americans they now sneer at as they wring their hands over the very thought that a conservative may be elected and repair the damage done by Barack Hussein Obama. I'm sure President Palin will be happy to remind them of their disdainful attitude toward conservatives when she greets them at the White House in 2013.

So good of the Leftist rag, The Guardian, to worry about our Republican candidates. Britain doesn’t have anything to write about, I suppose...other than the marauding hordes of yobs burning the cities and the Muslims planning their next attack on their clueless population.

Fix your own problems, Limey, before you criticize U.S.

""The Tea Party's generals may say their overriding concern is a smaller government," conclude political scientists David Campbell and Robert Putnam, "but not their rank and file, who are more concerned about putting God into government.""

That's a damn lie.

Social Conservatives are, in fact, upset with the Tea Party for their refusal to adopt social issues...or even allow their advocacy at organized rallies.

Let there be no doubt, the goal of the left is to associate the "Tea Party" with the Evangelical Right, Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann.

It is also their goal to drive a wedge between Rick Perry and the GOP base on the immigration issue (thus the amnesty announcement yesterday).

The Progressive Left wants to run against Romney...because they know the energized right will not turn out for him.

Their greatest fear is Palin and Perry.

To counter, Palin MUST get in the race over the next two weeks. And, Perry must disavow his amnesty positions and become a very strong "secure the border and throw them all out" advocate.

America is a country of mad people governed by buffoons.

Gotta agree with that first sentence. I'm plenty mad and the president is a buffoon. Ditto for the Senate.

Martin, you idiot, your dumbass country kicked Churchill out of office right after war (one of many in which us mad folks saved your asses). And you think we elect buffoons? Like that dumbass gordon brown? Have you even spoken to the working class Britons in the last ten years? They’re mad. Your country has turned against the moral foundations (and decent manners) that were a staple of common discourse 50 years ago and, furthermore, is being over-run by muslims who hate you. And why, because you wanted to teach the stubborn, old conservatives a thing or two about diversity.

Pffttt...you’re a sick people with no future. And for the majority of Britons, with whom you probably never speak, that’s very sad.

And you’re right, Obama “ain’t all that.” I never believed he was, not once. If you did, you’re a dummy.

Have a good day.

Kettle first paints an over-the-top parody of typical European views of America, then dismisses it as utter rubbish, as should be obvious to any thinking observer.

So far, so good.

However he then goes on to make one foolish assertion after another, with those assertions fitting quite comfortably within the boundaries of his earlier parody.

Can Kettle possibly be so self-unaware as to fall into such a trap of his own making? His own bias has seemingly overwhelmed any pretense of objectivity that he may have been able to muster.

His “analysis” is so far off the mark as to be laughable. His dismissal of the objectives of the Tea Party as little more than a cover for insinuating religion into government is just as absurd as the delusions of those who attempt to equate the Tea Party with the KKK.
