As potential presidential candidates go, he makes an excellent governor of New Jersey.

Prove it, you idiot.

We don't need proof, we have "consensus."

We are in an Inter-Glacial period.

Has it warmed up over the last 10,000 years? Yes.

Was it caused by man? No.

Wow... Sometimes when you see what comes out of a candidate’s (or potential candidate’s) vetting, you may not agree with totally everything they’ve done, or you may not think she or he took the best route on a particular issue, but this is just over the top. If it is true that Chris Christie is a global warming loon, then he should not be on any part (ANY part) of a Republican presidential ticket what-so-ever.

Climate change IS real - and has been happening cyclically since the dawn of time.

The issue is: Can humans cause it? Can humans make it better? Or worse?

The answer to that is a resounding “Hell no!” - if Christie believes otherwise, then he’s on the nutty scale right out there with Ron Paul and squirrel dung at a Planter’s factory.

I know he was everyone’s superstar, but something about him gives me the creeps. Seriously! Not looks, or weight, and totally unscientific opinion here... but my gut feeling has always been irked with him.

In vetoing a bill (S2946) that would have required New Jersey to stay in a regional program intended to curb greenhouse gases — a program Christie plans to leave by the end of the year — the governor said "climate change is real." He added that "human activity plays a role in these changes" and that climate change is "impacting our state."

Climate change is real. It has been going on since the beginning of time. But the assertion that human activity is playing a role in climate change is nonsense.

People who do not understand science need to at least know who to believe. Christie has been all over the place in his quest of who to believe.

Scientists who do not have a vested interest in man caused global warming are the ones from whom to seek advice, not the AGW crowd, a very large group. AGW is an acronym for Anthropogenic Global Warming, or man caused global warming.

Climate change has been happening for billions of year. The issue is whether man has any real part in it and whether man can control climate change. Christie is dead wrong on both counts.

Whatever “climate change” may ge attributed to human activity, is probably cancelled out by OTHER human activity that causes the reversal of the effects of the primary activity.

So human activity may very well be entirely neutral on whatever range of “climate change” takes place. Expenditure of huge sums of money we DON’T have is not justified.

Adjust to the climate in which you live. Do not attempt to adjust the climate, as that is clearly a task of such enormous proportions, and of so many unknown factors, that such an objective will remain far beyond human capabilities for centuries if not eons.

This does not mean we cannot or should not change the immediate local environment, but that trying to change the entire planet (which has already evolved some pretty spectacular control mechanisms) is futile and useless at best, and only results in a permanent state of decivilization at worst.

And despite its faults, civilization certainly is better than the alternative.

When you say you don’t believe in Global Bullsh!t. You are then basically hounded and embarrassed (by the lib media) to “come full circle.” It’s so predictable.

I bet Perry backs off his statements too. The press are like nazis.

‘Zactly. The entire history of the Human Race has taken place between Glacial Periods. When the next Glacial Period starts, and it will, because it has done so for millions of years, we should make all the Global Warming apologists live outside.

Christie's come full circle on the issue Wouldn't that mean that he changed his mind, then changed it back to where he originally stood on the issue?

I think the writer meant that he he reversed his original stance, but his statements aren't really a 180. Statements of "climate change is real." and "human activity plays a role in these changes" are not the same as saying that climate change is the result of human activity.
