I think it's ironic that police can confiscate the ill gotten gains of drug dealers, but we as a country can't confiscate the ill gotten gains of evil nations.
Its not ironic when you understand that the government is the sworn enemy of a free people. LEOs can also use tear gas and CS gas on Americans whereas it is a war crime if a soldier uses it on the enmy. The government can gun down and immolate women and children, they can use hollow point bullets to insure the largest and deadliest wound channel, but our soldiers are defenseless against women and have to use crappy ball ammo.
In the US, a police officer can gun you down if you simply run away from them. You can be burned alive in your bed or stomped into a puddle of goo by a SWAT team entering in the wrong dwelling and nothing but promotions and paid vacation is charged to these thugs. In battle, you have to actually be shooting at our troops before they are permitted to do anything other than die - and that is after you call it in to the JAG and see if its OK to commence or just take the incoming rounds.
You can be a law-abiding CHL carrier and still have a LEO come up and threaten to execute you on the spot "and sleep well afterwards". While being arrested for minor offenses you can be beaten to death and treated worse than a caged animal, whereas our military must treat murderers and terrorists with the utmost respect and courtesy, respecting their religion, feeding them gourmet meals, and guaranteeing them a comfortable environment and excellent health care.
Our government, at all levels, hates Americans with a deep burning passion and will turn the screws on an American whenever they want.
Spammer.
Perhaps the question should be "could federal government be any more *malicious*"? Keeping in mind that the real enemy here is Americans.
At least 10% of it will go back to Obama in the form of 2012’s campaign warchest, just like the ACORN stimulus funds...
“We need to return to the pre-1950 concept of what the military is for:
1. Find the enemy.
2. Kill them.
3. Go home.”
Exactly!
