p>The Talk Shows
August 14th, 2011
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): 2012 GOP presidential candidate and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Bachmann; Gov. Terry Branstad, R-Iowa.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Bachmann; Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Bachmann and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, both 2012 GOP presidential candidates.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Bachmann and Herman Cain, also a 2012 GOP presidential candidate; Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa
It was just reported on TV that Pawlenty has dropped out of the race.
Yep, they always do when interviewing Republicans. Any more it’s expected and our side has to learn how to handle and counter them. Some do well, like Chris Christie, and others don’t seem to learn.
dark shadows or he grew a brain ?
They all want Bachman on as the MSM/Obamabots believe they can beat her...
I don’t see Christie getting into the race but have no idea what Palin will do. She is keeping her decision a huge secret and driving both sides mad in the process.
I noticed ABC’s This Week has Pawlenty as a guest this morning.
Agree 100%. She is the weakest and the media will Palinize her. It will be very, very ugly. I do like her, but just can’t see her getting a fair shake from the MSM or the left.
Pawlenty told supporters on a conference call Sunday morning that he would announce on ABC’s “This Week” that he was ending his campaign after a disappointing finish in the Iowa straw poll on Saturday.

I just meant that Christie has a way of nailing unruly interviewers and crowds. I probably would not agree with many of his positions but I get a kick out of his media skills.
As for Sarah Palin, we’ll just have to wait and see. IF she jumps in I would guess she’ll swamp the field.
ABC This Week apparently didn’t get the morning news that Pawlenty has withdrawn.
The opening indicates they are wondering whether Pawlenty will continue.
And they are claiming TW is ‘live’ from Ames.

Pawlenty does announce that he is quitting the race.
Wallace opens with a public apology to Michelle Bachmann.
Wallace just apologized to Bachman for his flake remark. Interesting.
Guess he has to interview the flake. Now he diminishes the win in Iowa as not a representative sample of the base. Still plugging for the Country Club.
Pray for America
He needs to take turns with McCain sitting in the slapping machine.
Thanks for the heads up. He was right to do that.
Thanks RG, it is time to expose their tactics.
Michelle is doing a great job not taking the bait, compromise means raising taxes.
Palin won the “free to the public” corn kernel poll. (Tickets to the straw poll are $30 each.)
I suggest people see the CNN clip where she was walking through the fair and Don Lemon asked her a series of questions. She handled it very well, even with distractions of other microphones ad cameras and people asking for autographs.
My favorite part was when she talked about how the media hadn’t vetted Obama very well, and Lemon replied, “Some people say he was vetted much more than you were.” She stopped, drew back, and told him that was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard. Then she laughed at him. LOL!
The talking heads will make a big deal out of the fact that SP did not get very many write-in votes, and Perry did. Some of them may even gloat. It will be painful to watch.
the second Sarah Palin announces more that Icabob Pawlenty will skedaddle
