Sarah Palins seemingly surprise appearance at the Iowa State Fair this week drew some questions from the press about whether or not she was trying to steal the media spotlight from other GOP candidates. Tonight she appeared via live feed to Fox News host Sean Hannity to discuss the GOP debate last night, which included her praise of Newt Gingrich for taking on the media(Fox Newss Chris Wallace) and drew cheers from the crowd when she proclaimed I AM still considering a run for president.
Hannity simpply asked the former Governor of Alaska are you considering a run for the presidency of the United States? Palin replied I am still considering a run, Sean, adding I think the good folks near iowa, you can ask be in here and I think they would tell you, it is time this country is put back on the right track. She then went on to make many of the predictable talking points to the adoring crowd surrounding her. Watch below, courtesy of Fox News:

Sounds indecisive to me.
Too late. This is not a serious contender anymore.
Can you explain to us why it is too late...
I guess she traveled to Iowa for the corn dogs.
That Iowa debate was a circus, but it proved one thing and only one thing.............there are far too many wannabes with no chance of winning, who shouldn't be on that stage at all and that we DO need more people to enter the race.
JUST WAIT FOR THE ROAR MY FRIEND.
Too late? That’s ridiculous. Reagan declared November 13. Bill Clinton declared October 3. John Kerry declared September 2.
Sounds like she needs to gin up some publicity for her next book deal or reality show
Was Ronald Reagan indecisive when he said he was considering running for President in October, 1979?
I wonder if the author understands the significance of "I AM".
I meant organization, fund-raising, and grass-roots structures in place.
I don’t think your comparison to Reagan fits but I get your point. Maybe she is just riding it out until a preset date. But at this point to be truely undecided is to be indecisive.
If it is for political posturing, ok. Otherwise, its indecisive.
Thanks for the stats. It helps us put things into perspective. Pretty interesting!
Looks as though the other candidates’ minions are out here even on this thread. Which is fine. The race hasn’t even started until Sarah shows up. :-). The other candidates know it. It is all just positioning until her arrival.
“I meant organization, fund-raising, and grass-roots structures in place.”
We don’t need to be “organized” by a political handler and support the best candidate.
Interesting observation.
Good eye.
Great point. This whole “campaigning two years before election day” is a hangover from the 2008 election. Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama needed 2 years to manufacture support.
The media loves a two year election cycle since it gives the talking heads a lot of blather to spew during the various talk shows on the news networks. I hope this year is the end of that stupidity though I doubt it.
They always said she lacked gravitas
