Border Patrol agent Brian Terrys murder at the hands of Mexican criminals carrying at least one weapon from the ATFs Operation Fast and Furious brought that awful program to a screeching halt. The straw purchaser who secured the weapon carried by Terrys killers, a 23-year-old Phoenix man named Jamie Avila, is now on trial for gun-trafficking offenses.
Agent Terrys family asked to be granted status as crime victims, so they could talk with prosecutors and speak at Avilas sentencing. Its a routine request but to the surprise of many observers, the U.S. Attorneys office in Arizona has denied them. William LaJeunesse of Fox News reports:
U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke argues because the family was not "directly or proximately harmed" by the illegal purchase of the murder weapon, it does not meet the definition of "crime victim" in the Avila case. Burke claims the victim of the Avila's gun purchases, "is not any particular person, but society in general."Prominent litigator and the former U.S. Attorney in Florida, Kendall Coffey disagrees.
"The government apparently is saying they're not victims, even though it was a federal crime that put the murder weapon in the hands of the killer of Brian Terry," says Coffey. "They are simply rights of respect, rights of communication and the right to be heard."
Gosh, its a shame Agent Terry was caught in the crossfire when those invaders started shooting at society...

As a former U.S. Attorney, Mr. Coffey, you more than anyone know that the description of how someone was shot dead by the government is hardly a right - it's a privilege. And when it is not in the government interest to admit what they did, that privilege is denied, and any further insistance on the truth is a violation of government process. So be careful.
Next.
Brian Terry’s death will not be in vain. No matter how hard the criminals in Government might try to cover it up, we will expose it.
He has no business in this case, nor do any of his subordinates!
I was just about to post this video from oversightandreform.
Obama Justice Dept. Rejects Fallen Agent's Family as Fast & Furious Crime Victims
Thanks for the link.
Thanks.
Justice will not be denied forever...

Nothing else could have been expected of a career Democrat hack and Janet Napolitano's long time lackee!
From the USDOJ website bio of Burke:
"Burke served as a Senior Adviser to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. He served as Chief of Staff to Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano from 2003 to 2008."- Fast And Furious run by US Att. Burke."... was the Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs at the United States Department of Justice, served as a Senior Policy Analyst for the White House Domestic Policy Council during the Clinton Administration and as a Majority Counsel for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, where he worked on three Supreme Court nominations, intellectual property as well as crime and law enforcement legislation"
Washington sent Dennis Burke to the AUSA job in Phoenix to run "Fast and Furious" (to get US guns to criminals in Mexico) and as should be expected, Washington now has Burke deny justice to the family of the Border Patrol Agent killed by one of those weapons, as part of the coverup of Washington's that crime.
