This was good, but our side is not making the argument very well. It's this simple, the only reason there were ANY cuts in the debt ceiling increase was because of the Tea Party and conservative Republicans. Hussein asked for a CLEAN debt ceiling increase as late as April. The ONLY reason he started agitating for some grand bargain (without putting out a plan) was because he'd already lost the debate AND he likely knew S&P was going to downgrade us. So he put himself on record as being for a grand bargain, but never actually proposed anything. Again, the point is, there would have been NO spending cuts in the debt ceiling increase were it not for the Tea Party and conservative Republicans.
I like what was said tonight on FOX News:
Blaming the Tea Party for the downgrade is like blaming someone who calls 911 to report a fire.
Simple and concise.
