A Fire Department of New York (FDNY) Ladder Company 3 fire truck, which was partially destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, is lowered into an opening in the World Trade Center site below ground level, where it will become part of the permanent installation exhibit in the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York July 20, 2011. The 9/11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center site will open on the 10 year anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2011.
Their (and our) honored dead - I will not, I cannot forget them and that includes all the victims of this attack.
I fondly remember Freeper BCM. It’s hard to believe it is nearly 10 years since 9-11.
BUMP. Thank you. It was only yesterday for me too.
This is getting way to maudlin. Lets transport all citizens to the site, issue sack cloth and make people wail and tear their hair.
They should have rebuilt the towers EXACTLY the way they were on 9/10 and filled them up with workers.
Have 5 minutes of silence once a year.
Bttt
Rest in peace, heroes.
Keep in mind also that many of their surviving colleagues and relatives opposed the mosque a couple of blocks away, but were denied and labeled like other defenders by some of the same people that are going to show up for photo-ops around the anniversary and remembrances of this.
