Hope springs eternal!
Obama is less like FDR and Gorbachev and more like Nero.
I can only hope that this wretched wrapped refuse pile is doomed.
Then I can:
1. Take a smelly Obama on the remains.
2. Then pee on it.
3. Then throw up on it.
4. Then burn it.
5. And remove all remains...to include all their books on Marx.
May they rest in the depths of hades.
In a souring economy, expect fights over EEOC rulings regarding who gets senior preference in Affirmative Action: women, blacks, Latinos, gays, whatever. The coalition held together when the pie was growing. A shrinking pie means that each group will fight the others to retain the size of its piece.
He is exactly right. We are witnessing the implosion of the welfare state. It is unsustainable. With unfunded obligations of over $100 trillion and a bankrupt nation, the current system is unsustainable.
But it doesnt matter. The long-term trends are almost all bad news for the left wing of the party.
This is about the dumbest statement I've read in a long time. It doesn't matter if Obama wins again? It doesn't matter if the debt ceiling is raised with no real, defined, major cuts in spending? And it doesn't matter if bureaucrats and judges impose further laws without congressional action? That's all OK because long term trends for the democrats are 'almost all' bad news? What an idjit.
Two quotes to ponder:
Alexis de Tocqueville: "The American Republic will endure until Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.."
Margaret Thatcher: "The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money...
Sort of sums it up rather nicely...
It’s still called “Democrat”, but it actually Fabian Socialist/Marxist/Fascist in substance.
Because there are more people like ME everyday: waking up to the lies Hussein and his ilk spew.
I remeber reading much the same thing when Carter was in the White House...that "it will be 100 years before another Democrat gets elected President".
Didn't take 100 years to get Clinton.
Riiiight.
Haven’t I seen this before for both the Democrats and ‘Pubbies?
The Democrats have morphed, IMHO, SUCCESSFULLY in a part of the Far Left, while the Pubbies are no longer conservative but a party of the moronic, mushy middle. There is no party of the Right.
IMHO, that looks like a win for the Democrats, not their obituary.
The Democratic Party, as we have known it for the past 70 years, is now in its last days.”
Cant come soon enough!
No. The Democratic Party is like herpesvirus. They’re here for the duration, or at least until the American Republic has ended.
They are too wealthy and too powerful. They are too well-entrenched.
This is what it would take for the Democratic Party to be eradicated:
1. The under-30 demographic needs to understand that their future is being mortgaged right now, and when they hit 50 they’ll be screwed.
2. African-Americans need to wake up and realize that the Democratic Party is making fools of them.
3. They also need to realize that the feminist agenda of abortion on demand is designed to keep their birthrate as low as possible.
4. Jews need to get their heads out of their collective asses. That’ll never happen.
5. The public sector unions need to be outlawed. That’ll never happen, either.
brilliant observation. I fear that political divisions will be broken up more and more by race in the future as whites become less and less of the majority.
good.
Nobody seems to correlate the rising debt ceiling with declining jobs.
The rising debt ceiling has two consequences....
more regulation ...
to occupy employees in expanding federal bureaucracies...which expand because they have more money and another layer of bureaucrats need their 20 year promotions... Each round of regulatory expansion is the effective equivalent of another targeted tax increase on the object of the regulation.
more taxes...
The rising debt ceiling has demands and expectations of creditors for new elements of revenue raising by the Feds...taxes or fees.
In this strangling environment job creation is simply NOT possible.
In fact the only logical conclusion..can be ..is that the Federal apparatus -initially an asset to the United States..by virtue of its abilities to raise an effective Navy in the late 1700s, and early 1800s to facilitate overseas trade on behalf of the States, has become nothing other than the States greatest liability at this point in time. In the absence of profound regulatory and taxation reform-which is not capable of coming from the same minds that created the problem..we may well be at the end of the line.
What Obama is trying to do in "transforming America" is to crash our current constitutional system and our capitalist system. The author thinks that this transformation will play out in the context of an America of 250 years of constitutional governance but he should think of the transformation occurring in the context of a banana republic for that is what Obama is trying to contrive. In the context of a banana republic it is easy to imagine the emergence of Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales, or Juan Peron, not to mention a fellow named Fidel Castro.
No, the Democrat party is not doomed, it has already transformed itself into a vehicle which would not just welcome but facilitate the kind of transformation which is easily imaginable in a banana republic and it will do so by precipitating financial chaos and race politics.
Dear Democrats:
Doom on you! Doom on you! Doom on you! Doom on you!...
Yes, the House Republicans may raise the debt ceiling for a mix of spending cuts and revenue raisers. Yes, Barack Obama may win the 2012 presidential contest. Yes, bureaucrats and judges will continue to impose new and costly regulations on the economy.
Ughhh!
He couldn't be more wrong. If he was right, the "pillars" upholding Detroit's miserable and corrupt political structure would have collapsed decades ago, and Detroit would have come under the control of conservatives.
Consider this: If the Bush-Kennedy amnesty had gone through and the illegals were getting voting rights before Obama's second term, then Obama would not be in political trouble, no matter how anti-capitalist his policies or how objectively harmful his policies were to the prosperity of the nation.
