It is important to remember that this was one of Obama's first terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11 conducted by .....shhhhhhh.....a Muslim.

PVT Long died in a homegrown, American Jihad.

Pvt Ezeagwula was severely wounded.

Neither received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in the GWOT (couln't have won it per Regs unfortunately-this need to change. ...and the media tried to bury this story.

One of the ironies of the American criminal law racket is that the prosecutors spend a great deal of their time in offering sentence reductions, and that defense attorneys spend more time persuading their clients to plead guilty than in trial preparation.

If you are charged with a crime, be aware of these facts. You are just another file to the professionals, and guilty pleas mean less work and more leisure time for them.

I’m pretty sure he’d survive that and after a few seconds, his nuts would vaporize and the current would stop. The electric chair uses about 2000 Volts for 20 seconds followed by 250 volts for a couple minutes.

Personally, I prefer hemp.

I see no reason why murderers sentenced to death are not simply shot in the back of the head with a .22 long rifle. One shot, instant painless death. Cheap too.

I cannot imagine any court, especially SCOTUS, finding that to be either cruel or unusual.

Did Obama take the case personally? Is he now being tried as a terrorist; or like the Ft Hood shooter he gets special rights because of Holder and Obama?

Great, now he gets 3 hots and a cot and free medical and dental care for 60 years at taxpayers’ expense instead of a needle in the arm and $100 worth of chemicals.

Crap

Blood splatter and a mess. I know, hanging has its drawbacks too. I tend to be a conservative and hanging has a long tradition. One problem is with the increasing obesity of the criminal class, more and more of them may risk decapitation. There is an Army field manual on hanging that specifies the length of the drop as a function of the convict’s weight to try to ensure a quick death with limited possibility of decapitation. Still, there are ocassional decapitations and instances where the convict is strangled rather than dying instantly from a broken neck. In any case, when people are hanged, they are generally left hanging for a good time to insure that if they are not killed quickly, strangulation will take its toll.

As a practical matter, probably the best method of execution is aphyxiation by nitrogen, which is how animal pounds do it. There are no toxic gasses and no blood and it is almost completely painless.
