Somebody should put together a list of the democrat’s “demands.” And then compare it to the CCB and this new proposal.

If those “demands” are being met, but the democrats are still saying, “NO,” then this needs to spread like wildfire across the net.

This then demonstrates to all who are actually watching...the democrats are ...ARE DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESULTING CRASH, INFLATION, AND RIOTS.

Yes, I said RIOTS. If we don’t think for one second 0bama’s regime will actually STOP checks...we’re naive. He had been looking for his crisis moment since coming to office. There is no excuse for this behavior from the democrats.

CCB gave them what they asked for and they tabled that discussion. Republicans like the good parent over the unruly child placed guidelines into the bill. Budgeting etc. A constitutional amendment to balance the budget of the federal government. That needs to be ratified by the people who are supposed to hold the power...US! (the states).

Why can’t 50%+ of the country not see what this party is doing? They hang with these traitors...and can’t see they lose everything?! I just don’t get it.

That's the single best analysis I've *EVER* seen on Free Republic.

Here's the appendix.

...they then figured out that they could collude with the press to lie about their *opponents* as well.

Cheers!

“The size of the lie is a definite factor in causing it to be believed, for the vast masses of a nation are in the depths of their hearts more easily deceived than they are consciously and intentionally bad. The primitive simplicity of their minds renders them a more easy prey to a big lie than a small one, for they themselves often tell little lies, but would be ashamed to tell big lies.” ~~A. Hitler

Then Congress would go to work to produce as much as $3 trillion in additional savings through an overhaul of the tax code and major changes to Social Security and Medicare.

Reversing the Rat forumula, instead of tax increase now and future cuts later they are doing cuts now and promise of future taxes later.

It's the Press, stupid.

Owned lock, stock, and barrel by the left and by Soros.

We need to go all Susan Roesgen on their ass every time they dare appear in public.

Cheers!

“Once the Senate Democratic leadership blocked “Cut, Cap, and Balance,” House leaders stepped up work on the new proposal”

That is a mistake. You passed your CC&B, the SENATE refused to raise the debt ceiling. Should’ve left it at that.

Does anyone really believe that the GOP WON'T cave to the Democommies at the end of the day, as they usually do? What have the Democommies proposed that the RINO party hasn't eventually gone along with? "Stimulus" handouts? DADT repeal? Thought-crimes legislation? The confirmation of the most liberal Supreme Court and other Federal justices imaginable? The confirmation of the "first" open, militant homosexual on a federal court? The ignoring of blatant treason and utterly unconstitutional action by a sitting president?

What kind of opposition exists at all?

Honest Dems? Hahahahahahhahahahahahaha!!! I mean... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! I’m sorry, I just coughed up my Diet Pepsi. I think they make those people take an oath when they get into the Democratic party: “I, above all else, worship the State. Any means which advance the power and the glory of the State are justified. Amen.”

It can’t be just the press....stupid.

There is way too much going on that correlates directly to people’s own life experience...and they are still in absolute willful denial.

And I just can’t accept that people are just not getting what is happening to them...

“Work on the new proposal was underway before negotiations with the White House blew up on Friday. Sources say the plan was being created last week, even as the House leadership devoted considerable time to passing the “Cut, Cap, and Balance” proposal.”

Whoever cannot read the stitches on the fast ball knew that is true i.e. the half hearted support of cut cap and balance was showmanship. Bonehead even said as much when he said they had another plan when CCB was voted out. Kind of like playing poker and showing your adversaries you hole cards.

It will be interesting to see what Weed, er Reid, does because a failure to act will be on his shoulders and then the asshat who said he would NOT accept a short term extension of the debt ceiling. That part of the plan is great because it puts the ball in their court where it should have always been. Why we ever got in “negotiations” with the asshat at all is a mystery to me.

When the smoke clears and if this goes exactly to plan there will some damage to the Tea Party people because they may have to eventually go against their campaign promises, I am not happy about that, as I am sure the RINO’s are elated. (.)zero will portray this as going along with a bad deal because he had no choice. Former Senate Leader, come January, Weed probably sees the handwriting on the wall but knows he will be there for four more years nonetheless.

Honestly, I think the biggest sticking point is the Dems do NOT want to have to rehash this again before the elections in 2012, because they will get massacred by this issue then. Utterly destroyed and they know it. Personally I hope that is precisely what happens. The less democrats in DC the better, particularly of the ilk which infest the place today. Now, if the Democrats were of the caliber of a Zell Miller I would feel differently, but they aren't they are blatant socialists and they have no place in DC.

If they crash, then we crash too. The world is much more interconnected these days.

But it would still be an issue in 2012. Obama would veto the bill, and if the GOP forced it to be repealed in order to pass the debt increase, Obama would have to campaign to defend shoving it down our throats.

They will pass a prioritization bill, but not until the Senate or BO rejects plan B.

The GOP has assumed control of the process. BO has become the empty suit we know him to be.

I hope you are right. But I think they are missing an opportunity by waiting.

Pass it now and refuse to discuss any plan that doesn’t balance the budget in two years with no tax increase. Put out ads saying “We saved the nation from default and saved SS and Medicare from Democrats who were threatening to not pay seniors.” Every Republican could go on radio and TV saying, “We protected our credit and protected our seniors from these radical Democrats.”
