False flag operation. I don’t know whether he intended to get away or not, but given the MO, people would’ve blamed it on Muslims.
The backlash would’ve been enormous.
Now, IF this is true, and the perp’s a conservative, the only backlash is going to be against conservatives in Norway.
It makes more sense of the purported facts of the matter as put forth thus far than anything else I’ve encountered. He expected to die, possibly obliterated by the reported explosives on the island, or he had an escape planned. Either way, his hand wouldn’t have been on it, and the MO was Muslim. He wanted to provoke a backlash.
So far his actions are very cold, very calculating, and, obviously, the attacks & related details were very much pre-empted & pre-planned, right down to picking the locations of attacks & wearing a police uniform, which minimizes suspicion & actually encourages trust in the eyes of his victims. He may be a psychopath, but isn't stupid or mentally handicapped.
However, I still can't figure out his exact motive(s) for killing innocent people, especially children?! Although, his actions per above suggest that he wanted to do something horrific & spectacular to get attention, most likely for political reasons. Regardless it was a terrorist attack.
That said, just because this guy is an ethnic, blonde, blue eyed Norwegian, we shouldn't forget about others (Islamic terrorists incl.) who might do similar acts. Frankly, different terrorist groups actually study each others techniques & tactics. Sometimes, Hollywood inadvertently helps too with their 'action movies'.
