New Muslim lashed for drinking in Australia

An Australian convert to Islam was pinned down and lashed 40 times for drinking alcohol by a group of Muslim men who broke into his home to punish him for breaking sharia law, a court heard Tuesday.

The man, 31, was allegedly restrained and whipped with a cord in his Sydney house Sunday morning by four men who forced their way in after he went out for drinks with friends.

One of the four, Tolga Cifci, 20, appeared in court on charges of aggravated breaking and entering and committing a serious indictable offence.

Prosecutor George Lolis said Cifci saw the man's drinking as "something against Islam" and justified his actions with a "particularised usage of religious law".

He showed "complete and utter disregard for the laws of this particular state", Lolis said.

Seriously. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it.

Worst part for him? He can’t ever leave. Any religion that would lash a man 40 times for having a drink would not hesitate to kill an apostate.

Kudos to the Aussie government for actually prosecuting these barbarians instead of letting them off for “just practicing their religion.”

That’ll larn him.

Now he knows what he signed up for. The sad part is that if he was messed up enough to sign up for it, he might enjoy later being on the dishing out end.

Sick cult for sick people.

He should’ve went to Bahrain where the hotel nightclubs are packed with rich Saudi Muslims drinking Johnny Walker and cavorting with Russian prostitutes away from Allah’s watchful eye.

While I don’t believe in “hate crime” as a crime, I do believe hate should be a factor in sentencing, along with the various other factors commonly used. But just as a hate determination can be made because of the victim’s religion, so should it also be for the attacker’s.

Take religion out of this, and you have some guys who beat up another. A standard jail sentence might teach them a lesson, and they wouldn’t be too likely to do it again. But this guy thinks his deed was righteous because of his religion, so he would definitely do it again given the chance. Lack of remorse and refusal to repent should result in a much longer prison sentence. He needs to be locked up for a very long time for the safety of the society.

Yep, the first place Saudi businessmen go when they get off the plane here in the US, is straight for the nearest Nudie Bar.

Many Saudis have vacation homes in Florida so they can hit Spring Break to drink and cavort with drunk bikini girls. I was told this by a Saudi. They’re actually quite unapologetic about their vices.

Advocates for the use of Sharia law in the West paint this gentle, peaceful picture that Sharia law will only be used for routine “internal matters” in the community like marriage and divorce, inheritance, etc. But this story is exactly what Sharia law will look like IN PRACTICE.
