Leadership. FOX News just reported that Barack Obama walked out abruptly on Republicans today during debt talks.
Good idea, but it won't get past Reid and the Senate. This is the big problem of not controlling both the House and the Senate.
His golf cart must have been waiting for him.
You hate to over-simplify things, but, if Obama is p**sed off, that’s probably a sign that negotiations are going well.
Maybe Boehner is standing firm. Lots of people here have had doubts about him and Eric Cantor, but, maybe they are driving a hard bargain. 0bama said he would take on his sacred cows on the Democrat side, so we’ll see how many cows he sacrifices.
I’ll keep repeating it:
barry the zero thinks he is CEO of America, with the Senate as VPs reporting to him, the House as directors reporting to THEM (and ultimately to him), and the American Public reporting to them.
When he is slapped in the face with the fact he has it bass-ackward, with him reporting to we the people and Congress and not the other way around.
But when you understand this is his mind-set a lot of his actions make sense and are rather predictable.
That is why Boehner should STOP going to the WH — summon barry to the halls of power: The House has the purse strings and that is the source of the real power.
Someone needs to teach barry the manchild a few rules about life and the USC.
As much as I love cracking on this p.o.s., as much as the next guy, this may be a big deal.
This false idea of a debt ceiling has forced fearless leader into a corner.
He has dug in his heels, and is about to get pushed over.
This single event could change history.
Maybe not, but it still puts the monkey on the back of the dims.

obama had to consult with his masters to get more material on his teleprompter, to deal with the new situation.
As said in another thread, all obama needs to do is to get on TV (with his teleprompter) and announce that he will not be a candidate for President in 2012. Even with a temporary fix for the debt ceiling, the Dow will go through the roof, investment will surge, and in 6 months or so we will have lots of new private-sector jobs.
Since obama can’t handle being President anyway, that’s exactly what he should do. But he probably won’t.

And it would be great to see an agreement so that we see real spending cuts.
I wonder if 0bama will come out and threaten not to pay Social Security again. What’s with his using the politics of fear, while he claims to be taking on sacred cows on the Democrat side in order to get a great compromise deal?????

Why shouldn’t he? The idiot McConnell declared that if the debt ceiling isn’t raised, the the GOP will be destroyed. That’s exactly what Obama’s hoping for.
