I don’t actually want to raise taxes on anybody. I want a reporter to call Warren Buffett’s bluff when he claims he wants to pay higher taxes. He keeps saying he wants higher taxes on “millionaires and billionaires like me” but his official income is only a couple hundred thousand dollars so regular taxes are insignificant compared to his real wealth. Let’s see what he says if someone proposes a tax that would actually affect him, like an asset tax on his $50 billion instead of an income tax.
