Who lied? First, le Scuz Bucket claimed nothing happened. Then he said, if anything happened, it was consensual.
Of course, this is from The New York Times, “The newspaper of rancid.”
It doesn’t matter now if he raped her or not. His lawyers will tear her and the case to shreds and the DA knows it.
Apparently the “skeptical” authorities are in no hurry to drop anything. Nothing is scheduled for a couple of weeks.
“According to the two officials, the woman had a phone conversation with an incarcerated man within a day of her encounter with Mr. Strauss-Kahn in which she discussed the possible benefits of pursuing the charges against him. The conversation was recorded.”
That alone left me shaken; it is possible that this has been one huge fraud and if they did have other encounters before, it does make me wonder. While assaults do happen by people that the victim knows, I am quite sure that if they knew each other before, it wasn’t through any family reunion or having a legitimate, open relationship. I mean, if you’re assaulted, what is there to discuss other than going for the throat.
