There are a few vocal Freepers who don't seem to get this.

What they want is a candidate whose message preaches precisely to our (rather small) choir, telling us every single thing we want to hear and not one single thing we don't.

I’m a real problem for the political temperature takers when they call to ask what I want from a candidate.

I tell them I want the candidate to tell me honestly what they think and I’ll make my decision from there.

Don’t tell me what I want to hear, tell me the truth.
