DEVELOPING: A tsunami advisory was issued for part of Japan's northeast coast after a 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck offshore Thursday morning local time, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

6.7 is small potatoes for Japan. The one that devastated them was an 8.9. Now, 6.7 over here would be significant.

My daughter is flying through Tokyo in the next 12 hrs and I know these quakes are north but it still has me nervous.
