Hey I LIKE Buck Owens. And I’d put my “edumacation” up against Chopra’s any day.
“Is this guy even an American citizen?”
Don’t know. I think there is an obligation to take care of him anyway, given the fact that he is non compos mentis.
“Chopra thinks we are all hicks, incapable of intelligent thought, walking around with cow manure on our boots and playing Buck Owens records.”
I can’t stand Buck Owens.
I wish Deepak would explain to me why the guy he no doubt voted for hasnt fixed the terrible problems of our country . Does it have anything to do with his and Deepaks shadow? or is it really the fault of the poweless boogey man Deepak seems to be seeing?
The first time I saw that it was on a bumper sticker on a Karmann Ghia in Ft. Collins CO.
He’s turned out to be a real a-hole.
Well I know a lot of folks around where I live would like to hear old Deepak read that little essay of his in person at one of the local country bars and would freely offer him some rather lively and pointed critique about it :^)
I hope some day soon, all these self-certain smug assholes with their holier than thou pseudo-intellectual superiority are going to get it shoved up their asses.
And they will deserve every painful second of it.
Here’s Chopra’s writing from 2010 - seems to be in character for him. (After reading it I thought I had stepped into Bizzarro World of Superman fame where everything is backwards!)

Excerpts:
But we all know why Palin has spiked the tea. In the past year the Republicans have decided, as a group, that fostering lies, attacks, and smears is good politics..... In politics, morality often comes down to whatever works. And what is working right now is to spike the tea with poison and tell people that its actually sugar......
....I take a different, more positive view. America turned a dark corner when Nixon and Reagan inflamed the worst aspects of populism with manipulative demagoguery.....
My positive take is that Obama and the other smart people (always remembering that they are more than smart but also good-hearted, far-seeing, honest, and credible) are playing the role of adults trying to call forth the adult in all of us. Americans have had the luxury of a long period of post-adolescent irresponsibility. The crown prince of that trend was George W. Bush, for whom both luxury and irresponsibility were a given....
This man is always seething with anger, but he poses like an enlightened peace guru on PBS specials.
Philosophically empty, so PBS thinks he is profound.
like, you’re entitled to your own opinions, mr. chopra, but not your own facts...
LOL!
Profane, profound, tomato, tomahto...
That is how he poses for the cameras. This article shows his true character. He is a petty, angry leftist who hates his fellow man.
Sounds like he and Arianna Huffington-Puffington were made for one another. I'd like to be there when they discover one another in an airport lounge. It'd be social history.

Like Jimmy Carter, Deepak has a less well-known brother - Sixpak.
He loves Buck Owens and Blue Ribbon beer, and thinks his brother is a bullsh*t artist.
I wonder how he got those shows on PBS which gave him his start. Did he pay for them or what?
He’s also on the board of the Club of Rome along with Ashok Khosla whose a member of Jimmah Carter’s - The Alliance for a new Humanity - where they say stuff like this...
“Christianity is our foe.
If animal rights is to succeed, we must destroy the Judeo-Christian Religious tradition.”
- Peter Singer, founder of Animal Rights

It’s obvious why they don’t like Sarah - we must get her to run.
“(...but she has spread the wealth by buying a free shotgun shell reloader for every voter in Alaska).”
Not a bad idea.
I just wasted 3 minutes of my life reading this.....
