WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama plans to create a special advisory council to recommend ways to boost the economic outlook and quality of life for the estimated 60 million people who live in rural areas of the U.S., a White House official said.
Obama was expected to sign an executive order Thursday establishing the White House Rural Council and naming Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, of Iowa, to be its chairman.

Bambi is trying to figure out a way to keep rural companies in blue states funded so they don’t take operations overseas.
Why doesn’t he send rain to drought-decimated Texas or dry weather to the water-logged Mid-West while he’s at it? He actually thinks these worthless commissions are fooling voters into thinking he’s doing something about the HORRIBLE economy all over the U.S. Next November, he’ll see that it’s very hard to fool rural folks these days.

I live in live in a rural area of the U.S. and to help with my quality of life, all you have to do is stay out of my life and/or drop dead. Today, that’s your choice.

We live so far out in the country that if you go farther, you are heading back to town. The only way this jug eared field hand can improve my quality of life is to get the hell out of it.
