You can certainly make a compelling case that Anthony Weiner should not have to give up his seat in Congress or his career in elected politics because of the online photo scandal that has engulfed him this week. But if this does end up being the end for Weiner's public career, it might not be quite the injustice it seems like -- at least if you know how his career began.

Not sure that was all that appropriate Dana! LOL.
But Dana is a little slow. I'm sure she was speaking about the people in his office.
If Salon is writing like this it means even the left wants Weiner gone.
When a liberal Democrat from NY looses the support of Salon...well, it looks bad careerwise. Real bad. Like he has lost all direction, his support gone south, his political future has gone limp, his stock deflated...
This may be my last double entendre on WeinerGate (until I come up with my next ones).
The SF Chronicle had a link this am that read “Pelosi wants probe”
A Clintonian plurality win.
How appropriate!
Fool should have changed his name years ago.
(for anyone who doesn’t want to go to Salon:) Whoa, I did not know that. He won his first congressional race by distributing an “anonymous” flyer in crown heights right after the riots, insinuating closeness between his opponent and dinkins and j. Jackson. Sleazy start and sleazy end to his political career.
This is why Weiner loved Obama so much. Obama plus his consigliere scum-bg Axelrod got two opposing candidates divorce recodes unsealed. Happened in scum-bg Obama’s Senate race
not even close
look at Ted Kennedy's rebound
BJ Clinton is the most loved pol by Democrats
Elliot Spitzer has already had almost all sin cleansed
Five years from now Weenie and Johnboy Edwards will be major domos in the Democrat party.
They embody what Democrats love.
Do we?
Weiner's opportunity to run for the House came about because Chuck Schumer, the district's Representative, ran against the incumbant Senator, Al D'Amato.
D'Amato had made some verbal gaffes during the years, one being using a mock Japanese accent when talking about OJ trial judge Lance Ito on the Don Imus radio show in 1995. In 1998 during his reelection campaign, D'Amato called candidate Chuck Schumer a "putzhead." Schumer used the word "putz" to charge D'Amato with being racially insensitive to Jews, and Schumer won the election.
So, it seems that Schumer learned something from Weiner's earlier tactics, and Weiner reaped second returns on the investment.

Ewwww! That’s simply nasty!
I forgot about that. To get Ryan out of the race, Obama got rercords “unsealed”. But God help anyone who tries to unseal anything on the One. Imagine if the records had stayed sealed on Ryan. We’d be be talking about President Hillary now.
Just goes to show Judy cant take a Punch.
Welcome to the puppet show.
Maybe the idiots from his district will forgive his actions BUT his democratic buddies won't. He is no longer useful.......
