TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Medical Examiner has released the official autopsy report on the death of Jose Guerena, the 26-year-old former U.S. Marine who was shot to death in a SWAT raid on May 5. The report confirms what a spokesman previously said to KGUN9 News by phone, that Guerena's body had 22 bullet entrance wounds. The report also shows that Guerena had many exit wounds as well. There were no drugs in his system.
The autopsy lists the manner of death as "homicide" caused by "multiple gunshot wounds." In the case of a Medical Examiner's report, this is a legal term that simply means the victim died at the hands of another human being. The term has no bearing on whether the shooting was justified. Separate investigations into that question are underway.
The report also notes that the body shows "no evidence of medical intervention."
It goes on to note in detail the entrance location and trajectory of each wound, most of which were on the victim's extremities.
The medical examiner found, in order:
one wound to the head, which the report describes as a graze;
one wound to the right upper chest;
one to the right lower chest;
one to the left upper abdomen;
three to the right upper arm;
one to the right elbow;
one to the right hand;
one to the left upper arm;
one to the left elbow;
one to the left forearm;
one to the left hand;
two to the right thigh;
one to the right calf,
one to the right foot;
four to the left thigh;
and one to the left foot.

That he he already knew the shooter was mentally unstable, was a leftie and had previously threatened other people. He previously covered for the kid because his mother worked near him.

I wonder if they would give enough bump to knock over a shield holder though? I’m thinking a 300 gr Barnes solid at 2550 fps would do the trick. It might not penetrate a Kevlar helmet, but it would sure ring the chimes of anyone in there! :)
No the police have not been charged, tried or convicted. Yet.
I am convinced that SWAT team use in this case appears ridiculous.
Dupnik is in deep trouble. It has been over a month and everything they have released trying to skim this over has done nothing but make it worse.
This will wind up in court, in this case Dupnik and his staff will loose.
None of that changes the fact that a man lost his life for no purpose....
