To: Dust in the Wind
I wonder if FEMA is doing their job and directing some of that offered help to other areas and towns also hit that may need help. Coordination is supposed to be what they do.

No, no peripheral damage. Churches and local people taking care of everything. More volunteers than they can manage, first everyone was supposed to go to the college and they were inundated and then gave up. FEMA is absolutely not needed unless they are offering long term programs.

I believe it was about the same in Tuscaloosa, community takes care of it.

I live near and helped with the aftermath of the Holly, Colorado twister. The same was true there, in fact the mayor told the Governor “No thanks” when he offered the National Guard.
