The long popular lake, home to migrating flamingos, pelicans and gulls, has shrunken by 60 percent and could disappear entirely in just a few years, experts say drained by drought, misguided irrigation policies, development and the damming of rivers that feed it. But, let's all blame Global Warming, increase the taxes on gasoline and raise taxes.
You can't fix stupid; and if you drain off water through 'misguided irrigation policies'; then limit the water re-filling the lake through "damming of rivers that feed the lake" - and then have a drought on top of this ..... Golly Habib ... what did you expect to happen?

Also, it should be noted that Teheran, Iran's capitol city, sits on multi-fracture fault lines similar to Los Angles.
Geologists have predicted that when the earthquake comes, Teheran will be leveled. An Iranian geologist was sent to prison for making this information public.
So, I think there are interesting days ahead for Iran in the near future.

Just as a side note(think of the book of Revelation) and a question for anyone who wants to answer it. This lake borders Turkey. If you look at a map, it would be a pretty good place to cross with an army to attack Israel. Can anyone tell me, if the lake dries completely up, if that would be possible? To drive tanks and trucks over it? I would think you could but salt can be pretty nasty to metal. As the crow flies it looks like it would be something along the lines of about 700-/+ to Jerusalem.
