‘How many of you think Herman Cain won the debate?”

Twenty hands shot up.

“Well, we can stop right there,” said Frank Luntz, a fast-talking political consultant, as he paced before a Fox News focus group on May 5. “This is unprecedented.”

This is a pretty long read but well worth the time. It was posted a couple of weeks ago but given this weekend's announcement I thought it worthy of a repost.

If you haven't settled on a candidate you owe it to ytourself to get to know the field and this article is an excellent introduction to Herman Cain, the man.

To all who want to know more about Cain watch the youtube video and read his quote below.

I liked what he was saying, but this ended that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol45PnAIFRU

Video description: “I politely attempted to question Herman Cain on his support of the TARP Bailout and tried to obtain his opinion on the fact that billions of American Tax Payer Dollars went to Foreign Banks... As a Tea Party member who is deciding on who I should support for the Republican Primary I was shocked to hear him say “That’s too long of a question to answer” Mr. Cain seems very protective of the Federal Reserve and their secretive financial transactions.. He has lost my vote...”

Herman Cain in his own words:

“Wake up people! Owning a part of the major banks in America is not a bad thing. We could make a profit while solving a problem. But the mainstream media and the free market purists want you to believe that this is the end of capitalism as we know it.” -Herman Cain, re: TARP, 2008

He’s winning the debate because he’s fearless. It kinda like a sports team that’s playing with reckless abandon. He doesn’t fear saying the wrong thing so it liberating for him. It’s a great advantage to not be calculating every word. You can tell the difference in a speaker who is throwing caution to the wind and let’s the chips fall where they may.

Just like the focus group, I tuned into the debate not really knowing much about him. When the debate was over I was saying “Wow!, I want him”.

Watching him again Saturday on CSPAN I was fired up about him. He has Something. Now if the Republican elite in Washington and the Media (even FOX) will give him a chance he will smoke Obama.

Everybody voted for TARP. You would be better off to try to name the handful who did not. Hank Paulsen got everyone in a room and scared the crapola out of them with TEOTWAWKI and martial law talk.

The Federal Reserve is not likely to go away in our lifetime. All mainstream politicians and business people accept the Federal Reserve as a fact of life. You cannot excoriate someone for working within the system. You and I and Ron Paul want to get rid of the Fed but most people are fine with it.

Herman Cain wants to seriously get rid of the IRS and replace it with the Fair Tax. Right now 41% of the population does not pay any type of income tax. If we institute the Fair Tax everyone will pay taxes. All of the 12-20 million illegals will pay a tax everytime they buy a taco or a prepaid telephone etc. They and all of the tourists that come here from other countries will be chipping in to pay for our Social Security. All of the underground economy of all cash businesses will pay taxes. It will be up to the individual as to how much tax they pay. The Fair Tax only taxes one time on new products. If you elect to buy a pre-owned auto or home you will pay no tax. Everyone who pays $500 - $5,000 per year to a CPA to do their tax returns will have that money in their pocket.

So I’m going to stick with Herman unless someone a whole lot better comes along.

It is politically incorrect to ask this but...

Is Cain a racist? Does he believe in multiculturalism/black and Hispanic hate/pride racism, affirmative action, and does he believe whites have equal voting rights and all other rights to Blacks? Does he support the racist organizations LaRaza, the NAACP, and the black Congressional Caucus and the Brown one? What would he do about black on white hate crime? Does he think hate crimes are committed against whites by blacks because currently it is race a black racist is treated equally under the law to a white racist? Does he think the constitution's civics and history should replace multiculturalism in schools?

Well, it’s back to RP for me. The Fed is the great enabler of our economic ruin.

>>“That’s too long of a question to answer”<<

How about posting your entire question and letting us decide if it’s too long to answer?

I realize that was a lot for you to read all in one day and grasp what was on the page. So here I have taken another small part and pasted here so you can read it over the next several days.

Herman Cain in his own words: (this means Cain spoke these words) “Wake up people! Owning a part of the major banks in America is not a bad thing. We could make a profit while solving a problem. But the mainstream media and the free market purists want you to believe that this is the end of capitalism as we know it.” -Herman Cain, re: TARP, 2008

You support Paul and I’ll support Cain. When you find a politician who will support the Constitution and open an investigation on the eligibility of Zero, let me know because I’ll support him too. Paul for some reason doesn’t want to do that.

Did I tell you that I support capitalism? That’s one reason why I find it so easy to support Herman Cain.

I would ask you the same question I would ask all of the other Cainiacs. Are you not concerned about Cain’s having been the KC Fed Chairman? What makes you think he is not just another good-old-boy establishment blue-blood Republican in the mold of GW?

I am not challenging you so much as asking sincerely.

What is it about Cain that you are sure he is a principled conservative who will represent the Tea Party people over Wall Street and the big banking interests?

At this stage in the game I want someone who knows how to run a large corporation efficiently and profitably. Why? Because of the number of American families that are suffering financial hardship. In 40 million homes across America, someone is looking for work that pays a salary commensurate with their skills. I want a person who can read the books himself and not be bamboozled by accountants. I want someone who know what the is in the best interests of American businesses, large and small because when you'll get your nose down in the dirt for one reason and only one reason, money! Cain knows about money. How to make it and when to spend it and what you should be buying with that dime. Too many American families are hungry and broke. I think Herman will help them more than any other person can.

It is open to conjecture just exactly what type of person Herman Cain is. You say he could be just another good-old-boy establishment blue-blood Republican in the mold of GW. I feel no such aversion at the moment thanks to the communist who is now resides at 1600. Do I want a Sarah Palin to bring back Christianity and patriotism? You're damn right I do but are we going to see that happen? I doubt it because America usually gets the type of government it deserves and last time around the youngsters and liberals wanted a socialist, that's what we got. Why? Because our schools consistently praise socialism and continually berate capitalism. That's what they believe so that's how they voted.

When I read Cains bio, I am impressed to say the least. I'm confident that as Chairman and CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, as a former deputy chairman and chairman of the civilian board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, as CEO and President, National Restaurant Association, as Chairman and President, Tax Leadership Council, as a Board Member of AGCO, Inc., of Aquila, Inc., the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Reader’s Digest Association, Inc., of Hallmark Cards Inc. and of Whirlpool, Inc. his executive abilities include lobbying and manipulating government bureaucrats.

The President's duty is to stay with in the confines of the Constitution while representing and protecting the entire nation not individual groups. It's the duty of individual Congressmen to represent our Tea Party interests over Wall Street and the big banking interests. That's why we want a majority of conservatives this time around.

The floods and tornadoes will certainly bring some jobs back in the construction industry which is going to help Zero. Will anyone demand that E-Verify be used? I hope so but I doubt it. Republicans don't seem to have a spine or cajones anymore.
