"multi-house drug crackdown"? I would want to see the warrant and the probable cause for no knock raids on multiple houses.

There is no situation that cannot be made worse by the presence of police. That goes double for SWAT.

Wannabee bad asses get fired up on adrenalin putting on their “war “ clothes and Katie bar the door.Anything that gets in their way is a target. But first the 100 mile an hour ,anything goes ,patrol car race to the scene.

"The pieces don't fit. I think it was poor planning, overreaction and now they're trying to CYA," Scileppi said.

I don't see much new in the article from previous coverage. The only new fragment was about the wife saying not to shoot that she had children.

I hate to see policemen in black uniforms, especially with knit head cover with eye holes. What purpose does that serve? I guess it covers up white skin, but not all policemen are white. Masks hide who you are, is that the point?

The Fourth Amendment has been canceled, per The U.S. Supreme Court.

There was no knock on the door, so little chance for a peaceful resolution. Perhaps if he had opened the front door he could have lived.

Dupnik is a Cheka and needs to go. Don’t kid yourself. This type of abuse of power has been going on for years, irregardless of which party is in The White House.

Democrat and Obama/criminal illegal invader supporter Clarence Duprik has his own taxpayer funded death squads.

“As a result of the need for information surrounding the shooting of Jose Guerena by members of the Pima Regional SWAT Team, the public has received misinformation and emotionally-charged speculation.
Please view the attached media release for more information.”

This war hero was a casualty in the unnecessary and tragic “War on Drugs”. Many of us have been saying for years that our freedom and safety are being eroded in the name of this unwinnable and immoral “War”.

Now we see the proof.

Anyone mounting any similar home invasion in my neck of the woods will find my safety “off”. There’s no way to tell if it’s the police or criminals - and in cases like this it’s not clear if there’s any difference regardless.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to this hero’s family. It’s the worst combination of a heartbreaking and infuriating incident.

“Live free or die!”

I’m not a fan of no-knock raids but they were developed to prevent drug dealers from flushing the evidence down the toilet before the cops gained entry. If there were ways of collecting flushed items before they hit the main line, these raids could be eliminated.

Funny how most cities have a no-pursuit or at least a limited-pursuit policy when it comes to car chases but these sorts of practices are still acceptable.

Whatever happened to being presumed innocent?

In a statement, the sheriff's office criticized the media, saying that while questions will inevitably be raised, "It is unacceptable and irresponsible to couch those questions with implications of secrecy and a coverup..."

A report by ABC News affiliate KGUN found that more than an hour had passed before the SWAT team let the paramedics work on Guerena. By then he was dead.

Hey PIGS, if there was no coverup...why the 'UNACCEPTABLE' and 'IRRESPONSIBLE' delay of over an hour getting your SWAT team's murder victim some medical care? Was turning the place upside down trying to find at least a dime bag to cover your ass for an illegal raid more important?

The legal jurisdiction and sherrif’s dept involved should be sued into tomorrow-morrow land and oblivion. That almost did happen recently in the case of the witchcraft trials in the little WA state town of Wenatchee, it reached a point at which the town could no longer purchase insurance of any sort and there was a real question of it remaining incorporated.

Murder. Plain and simple. I am considering bringing this case up at the next neighborhood get together and seeing if there are other folks thinking like me that perhaps we might need to band together for protection not just against the normal crooks and whatnot but also against the armed gangs with badges.

Just reaffirms all my preconceptions about these trigger-happy, hyper-aggressive, twitchy, bottom-feeding thugs called SWAT teams. The SEALS hit UBL two or three times, this guy takes 60 hits. At least they found some hard drives and a porn stash in UBL’s place. Not a gram of powder or herb to show for this bloodbath.

If his widow hunted down and returned the favor to each and every SWAT member and police chief involved I would want to be on her jury.

This is what the drug warrior do gooders have wrought.

Last year it was a grandma in Chicago...wrong house. She pulled her .38 and was shot dead in her rocking chair.
