"The ongoing debate over the supposed dangers posed by mobile phone usage and wireless signals has exploded once again. An influential European committee has called for a ban on mobile phones and Wi-Fi networks in schools – the GSM Association has denounced the report as an 'unbalanced political assessment, not a scientific report.' The report made its recommendation to reduce mobile and wireless use in schools, despite admitting that there is a lack of clear scientific and clinical proof. However, it said the lack of proof was reason enough to restrict use, just in case, comparing mobile phone raditation to other things whose dangers were once sunknown, such as asbestos, leaded petrol and tobacco."

The uber-safety weenies will never be happy until we all starve to death, shivering naked in the cold and dark. Fire kills, after all.

And they still say that the Council of Europe and the European Union aren't in essence the same thing. They appeared at about the same time in history (just because the EU changed names four times doesn't mean it was four different organizations), they use the same flag, all of the same countries (plus 20 more) are members, they stand for the exact same "values", and they have the very same lust for control of everything.

I recall Winston Churchill's thoughts on a united Europe, and he knew that if instituted for the wrong purpose and by the wrong people, it'd be a very evil thing:
"It should be built by the English. If the Russians built it, there would be communism and squalor. If the Germans built it, there would be tyranny and brute force. …"
Here we are at a very vulnerable point in history, with a united Europe with Germany as its architect. Was Churchill right or wrong? Time's going to tell.
