The Pima County Sheriff's Department has provided no details about the investigation that prompted the raid and little information about the moments leading up to 71 gunshots being fired at Guerena, whose gun had the safety on. He was shot 60 times, doctors told the family. Initially the Sheriff's Department said Guerena fired at officers, but they retracted that this week.

Isn’t this, Pima Co., the LIBERAL county that wants to secede from Arizona and become the 51st state of the USA? They want to call themselves Bahia???

I agree with you completely, but unfortunately the union is defending the bad cops more and more, so we are not getting rid of the bad cops. And the brass goes along with the union.

A long, long, long time after hell freezes over, my FRiend. As I posted before, this raid causes two things to happen:1. It makes decent people sick. 2. It gives the bootlickers an orgasm. It was a murder pure and simple and only the Good Lord saved more innocents from being murdered.

My question is why didn’t they just surround the house, get on a loudspeaker, and demand the occupants to come out with their hands on their heads, firing teargas as a last resort

From conservativeunderground.com:

“New details are emerging about Jose Guerena, the man killed last Thursday in a SWAT incident at his Tucson home. He was gunned down by SWAT members while his wife and young child hid in a closet.

Now, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has taken responsibility for the fatal shooting. The SWAT team said it was just executing a narcotics search warrant when Guerena threatened officers with a military rifle. But the Sheriff’s Department has changed its story on whether Guerena actually fired at anyone.

Now, Pima County Sheriff’s officials are refuting original claims that Guerena fired at the SWAT members. In fact, they confirmed his safety was still on when his gun was recovered. Also, officials said that reports that some SWAT officers’ shields were riddled with bullets are also untrue.”

I agree. Trying to be moderate. Have too much experience on these matters from the side of LEO. A shaking of head is the best I can offer. My tagline says it. More upset than you can imagine over this Man that died. If they are going to go politics on us they can at least claim fault. Then let the courts take care of all the people involved. Including as you say the judge that obviously did not look at what he did sign. We are dealing with Dup down there.

I seriously doubt that they will be prosecuted. Promoted? Yes. Now, the guy,s widow is a horse of a different color. look for her to be charged with something as soon as they can trump up a charge. And also do not be surprised if she is shot and killed "while resisting arrest".

As far as being sued goes, I believe that Soverign Immunity protects them as long as they were acting in "line of duty".

Recall several years ago when a good number of those on this forum, not only bootlickers, got their panties in a wad because the police in different jurisdictions made mistakes? or omission on warrants and some individuals had to be released? Their reasoning was "As long as the Officer was acting in good faith", the warrant, mistakes?/omissions and all should stand.

Well, the SWAT team will maintain that they were acting in good faith.

Here is the man's grieving wife. Also he has two sons, the older one was probably at school.

The basis was because they could and the cops requested it.

The reason was to get their lies to match what wern down.

The fact is that they murdered the poor guy.

“We have an institutional problem.”

Agree wholeheartedly!! In instances where the judge issues the search warrant, it is not the fault of the judge if the storm troopers screw up the address. We cannot have judges being sued as that crowbar the justice system entirely based on legit and bogus lawsuits (primarily the latter). Judges can be removed by other means already in place.

But we should go after the police IN CHARGE that allowed this to occur. The massive hail of bullets (whether at the wrong address or not) is nonsense. This is criminal negligence and they should be hung at the nearest tree.

You are correct. but, we need the help of the decent ones to get rid of the rotten ones. And we are seeing less and less of that.

Whoa! Hold on boss. They didn’t screw up the address on the warrant.

You know how you get a warrant...? Just ask... That’ it.

Judges must be held personally and criminally responsible for their actions. That way they will actually do their job. Not just issue warrants when their buddy at the D.A.’s office asks for one.

Criminal and civil responsibility for screw ups. If society wont do that then what are we left with? Tar and feathers and a noose. I think due process is the better choice don’t you? But with no recourse...

According to the facts, it was a AR15 which is the civillian equivelent of a military M16. Entirely different animal in looks as well of performance, to say nothing of cost than an AK.

I look at the police now no different than taxpayer financed street gangs and roving bands of thieves.

I grew up w many who became cops and to a tee they are powr mad psychos worse than any gang member you will ever meet.

Police of today do not warrant or deserve respect. They command respect solely based on their ability to ruin your life in a million different ways.

Where I live these thugs pull down huge salaries and insane pensions and benes. Its disgusting.

“I think due process is the better choice don’t you? But with no recourse...”

I will not argue with that! It seems that the need for a civilian militia is becoming a reality not only to fight crime but to react to overzealous police and the justice system. I take mental notes on these sorts of things, and I cannot deny that there is a trend not only in the increase in crime and lawlessness, but also the mistreatment of citizens by police. I do not see it getting better anytime soon.
