DENVER -- The city's Independent Monitor believes a Denver police officer who was found to have used inappropriate force and then lied in the investigation should have been fired.

The city and the officer are now being sued for the officer's actions.

How Many Officers Lie On The Job?

"Is it possible that an officer or deputy could lie from here on out and still have their job?" asked 7NEWS reporter Marshall Zelinger.

"It can happen, but you have to make the decision on a case-by-case basis," said Rosenthal. "The problem is if you create one that is automatic termination and you don't allow the decision maker to weigh aggravating and mitigating factors, injustices can occur." ----

Must be nice to be able to keep your job for violating the public trust by lying as sworn officer, causing tax payers to pay for your screw ups, and violating civil rights with inappropriate force.

I had a LEO standing in front of me telling a lie.

I told him what he was telling me made him a lousy LEO

He said, "How is that?"

I said, "YOU DON'T LIE WORTH A ****!"
