WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Americans who raided Osama bin Laden's lair met far less resistance than the Obama administration described in the aftermath. The commandos encountered gunshots from only one man, whom they quickly killed, before sweeping the house and shooting others, who were unarmed, a senior defense official said in the latest account.
In Thursday's revised telling, the Navy SEALs mounted a precision, floor-by-floor operation to find the al-Qaida leader and his protectors - but without the prolonged and intense firefight that officials had described for several days.

Yes, all that is true. We predicted it and we are definitely amazing. But we have yet to be proven right by evidence, which I believe will be forthcoming. So patience my friend; our ultimate victory will be all the sweeter.

You know, I'm wondering if Seal Team 6 didn't decide as a group to turn off their helmet cams for two reasons:
1. To punish Bambi by denying him the opportunity of watching it unfold, and to use any photos, etc. for campaign purposes. He deserves to be punished for prosecuting that group of Seals who gave a terrorist a fat lip, and what he's done to Larkin.
2. To protect themselves from Bambi throwing them under his ever-present bus and turning them over to the ICC

It'll be fun watching the media working overtime to bail his ass out of this one. Will they pull it off?
Assuming it is true, it is a big deal that this billion dollar system suddenly failed in the middle of an extremely important mission. There would have to be an investigation and a 500 page report detailing exactly why down to the IC chip or line of code.
Now, if the commander ordered the system turned off, it would be the end of his career and would most likely result in a courts martial and at least a chapter out of the military.
No, I understand your point, but something like that would not be at the commander's discretion.
I think it is a lie and never happened. They just don't want to admit that they sat there watching unarmed people get shot. “We didn't know what was going on.” is the theme, the version they are presenting this time.
