The terse announcement came just after 9:45 p.m. Sunday from Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director.
“POTUS to address the nation tonight at 10:30 PM Eastern Time,” he wrote on Twitter, sharing the same message that had just been transmitted to the White House press corps.
According to Brian Williams, the “NBC Nightly News” anchor, some journalists received a three-word e-mail that simply read, “Get to work.”

That speculation was not aired out on television immediately, but it did erupt on Twitter and other social networking sites.
Wishful thinking about bin Laden’s death ricocheted across the Web — and then, at 10:25 p.m., while Mr. Obama was writing his speech, one particular tweet seemed to confirm it. Keith Urbahn, the chief of staff for the former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld, wrote at that time, “So I’m told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden. Hot damn.”

I think stopping the military’s pay checks didn’t help his cause one little bit. It didn’t happen but the threat was there...military all got letters stating they’d only be paid through April 8th....this had to be one of the last straws...that pushed this...

Thanks for the ping. That is a fascinating post. It made me think the following: hasn’t everything started to seem surreal? For me, I think it goes back to those mind-numbingly idiotic comments Obama spewed about there not being sufficiently cool phones in the Oval Office. When I heard his quotes, I thought, ‘he’s not just scarily childish; he borders on insane’.
Yes, you expect the leftist MSM to cover for him. But isn’t there even one adult in the press corps who paused after hearing that drivel, and asked him/herself, ‘What have we done??? Who have we installed in the Oval Office??? Is it really safe to go on with this immature, borderline nutcase in charge of the country?’?

NEver mind about the Scott Brown brouhaha...DRUDGE just clarified it.
The way Scott Brown talked it seemed he’d seen photos shown him by the administration- he says” I’ve seen him, he’s dead”.
Fast forward- he gives update to MyFox saying the photo he and many others had seen is not authentic...which leads one to believe he’d been given a fake by the admin.
It turns out that Scott Brown saw the EXACT same FAKES we all saw on the net in the last two days!!!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
