How the bin Laden Announcement Leaked Out

The terse announcement came just after 9:45 p.m. Sunday from Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director.

“POTUS to address the nation tonight at 10:30 PM Eastern Time,” he wrote on Twitter, sharing the same message that had just been transmitted to the White House press corps.

According to Brian Williams, the “NBC Nightly News” anchor, some journalists received a three-word e-mail that simply read, “Get to work.”

That speculation was not aired out on television immediately, but it did erupt on Twitter and other social networking sites.

Wishful thinking about bin Laden’s death ricocheted across the Web — and then, at 10:25 p.m., while Mr. Obama was writing his speech, one particular tweet seemed to confirm it. Keith Urbahn, the chief of staff for the former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld, wrote at that time, “So I’m told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden. Hot damn.”

Was a huge thread this morning about NORTHCOM raising DEFCON locally.

Lot of speculation vis-a-vis Qadaffi’s son recently getting iced and the fear of revenge attacks. I didn’t read that thread too closely but someone might have speculated about Osama.

Thanks to that heads up (which is why FR is the best) when the buzz started this evening I was 100% sure we (or Nato) had bagged Qadaffi himself but I was pleasantly surprised that we got a much worse SOB.

Obama has got to distract, distract, distract, if that means the man-child at 1600 Pennsylvania continues to LIE, so be it.

Bin Laden was killed in during a bombing raid, while he hid inside a cave located in Pashtun in 2003.

According to the Obama and his gooberment and the MSM led by CNN in this story, we're supposed to believe that Osama bin Laden was killed early Sunday and then buried at sea. It's beyond laughable. Obama made certain to include in his speech to the nation, that Osama bin Laden was not a moslem leader. I fastened up my hip-waders at that point.

A caution should be issued : This is a distraction. WATCH CAREFULLY for an end run. WATCH CAREFULLY for Obama and the democRATs to do something else at the same time.

The timing of this announcement is designed to flood the news cycle at the beginning of the week and it means something VERY VERY BIG is coming down the tube at us.

Personally I’m taking a wait and see attitude about this whole thing as I don’t trust Obama, the Democrats in charge of our MSM communications, our country, everything we hear, and read that they can.

I don’t believe anything these guys say period. The body was allegedly buried at sea as quickly as possible in “respect” for Islamic law. The same Islamic law that leads Muslims to act insane, and perpetrate heinous crimes against humanity without remorse.

I think they were given a heads up as well. The timing is just too perfect for them to all of the sudden reverse their wedding plans. I also wonder if Petraeus is being rewarded with the CIA job over everything that led up to the raid...
