GOP Sees Shot at Latino Gains (RINOs want to pander to Hispanics by pushing amnesty)
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 2011-05-02 | Vauhini Vara

Former staffers for defeated California candidates Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina have an urgent message for fellow Republicans: Their political future depends on Latino voters, and the Obama administration may be providing an opening.

(snip)

Mr. Wilson, managing partner at Wilson-Miller Communications Inc. in Sacramento, said that if the topic of immigration arises, Republicans should avoid anti-immigration rhetoric meant to stir up the conservative base. "We're on safe ground when we say, 'We have to secure our borders and get a guest-worker program, then work on a pathway for citizenship for people who are already here'—and then quickly pivot off of that and talk about [other] issues important to Latinos," he said.

Political observers say, though, that more immigration-friendly policies, such as giving citizenship to undocumented workers, could alienate the conservative Republican base.

There are no latinos, it’s pretty racist to imply that Mexicans are all that are illegal, there’s plenty of Canadians who are illegally working here, and no legal citizen wants to repeat the disaster of the Reagan years where less than half the illegals here even bothered to fill out the paperwork, even after two extensions.

They don’t want to become citizens, or they would have applied in their home country. They want to get the cash and go back home, and continuing to take the word of ‘activists’ who supposedly speak for the imaginary latino community is a horrible idea.

Fiorina and Whitman were both McCainiacs. I have a feeling that McCain is still pushing amnesty and may consider running again...as Obama’s running mate!

Ya know, Rabs, if McCain had won, we might well have had amnesty rammed down our throats already. I jest not!

Fiorina and Whitman were both McCainiacs.<

Is it any surprise Whitman had illegal aliens running around her mansion?

The Same Republican Whitman that put up 30 billboards, in Spanish, around California saying NO on Arizona's immigration laws.

Both parties want amnesty because that what their rich owners want . A lot more cheap economic slaves and it's working great but then it ought to because they have all brainwashed dumb ass American workers helping them.

They are not going to shut down the government anymore than they are going to cut spending or quit growing the size of the Government.

What they are going to do is take more money from the pockets of the people [except the rich]Spend more money this year than they did last pass some kind of amnesty bill and try to disguise it. This country is broke. The only thing that might save this country is for it's people to return to the Lord. He has taken His hand off us and we are under judgment

Our friedly globalists - the ones with thier “free market” paws in the Treasury are helping us stupid Americans out here.

Open borders have given them the hope of Mexican, Indian and Chinese third world labor costs and standards of living in the US; now they just need the third worlders to be empowered to vote for their “right” to be proud third worlders in the US. The Mexican invaders will be offered “free stuff” (their paws in the Treasury, too) if only we can “progress” to understanding our proper place in Wall Street’s global serfdom scheme of things.

Screw the Wall Street Journal. Until they condemn the “capitalists” with their mitts in the treasury, they are big fat liars - deceivers.

RE :"We're on safe ground when we say, 'We have to secure our borders and get a guest-worker program, then work on a pathway for citizenship for people who are already here'—and then quickly pivot off of that and talk about [other] issues important to Latinos,"

Even better, jump straight to the other issues like unemployment and gas prices and how more workers are NOT needed now.

'pathway for citizenship'=amnesty=more socialist voters on the dole.

Remember what it says :'..Former staffers for defeated California candidates Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina have...'. Notice they didnt get the Hispanic vote in CA with their pandoring.
