Who will you vote for in a future election if your two candidates are: 1) Obama or 2) a pro-choice Republican?

Ah, shucks, that's an easy one, Leo.

That will be a great day, because the day the Republicans field a pro-choice candidate for president, a third party will instantly become viable. A true conservative we can vote for in good conscience will lead it to replace the GOP in our two party system. And then we can lay to rest this charade that the GOP is a conservative party.

Is it just me, or are the RINOs starting to sound more and more like the Whigs every day.

Dear Dr. Brian Kopp,

I agree that a new, significant third party would arise nearly instantly. Or several, and it would sort itself out in an election cycle or two.

But after getting shellacked a time or two because the new third party[ies] took as much as 15% or 20% of the vote, the Republicans might become much more committed to the cause of life.

Or not.

In which case, it's difficult to discern what our politics would like like after the disruption of the current equilibrium.

In any case, I'd vote for a pro-life third party if there were no pro-life candidate for president between the two major parties.

Not gonna vote for a baby-killer for president.
