That his birth was officially registered as "illegitimate" and his mother was listed as "Single". (Obama, Sr. was already married and polygamy is illegal in the U.S.)

It would be embarrassing if his parents weren't legally married, but he could actually garner a good bit of sympathy from that admission. After all, it's already common knowledge that his mother was pregnant out of wedlock. The bigamy would mean they couldn't have legally married if they wanted to. He could just say he's been protecting his family's reputation.

I can't help thinking there's more to it than just the BC and what it contains. IMHO, it has to do with what it leads to: The Indonesian angle, college, etc.

Bottom line: The people have a right to know.

If it turns out that there's something like this -- embarrassing to the family but in no way relevant to Obama's legal qualifications to be President -- finally letting some Birther drag it into the daylight will be an absolutely devastating blow to Obama's opponents (who will be publicly pilloried as not only kooks, but mean-spirited assailants on an innocent family).
