Sounding increasingly like a candidate, Donald Trump repeatedly told a raucous tea party crowd today he has the qualities needed in the White House and the conservative ideals necessary to seal the Republican nomination should he decide to run.
Trump struck familiar themes and talked about his own business acumen in his speech to hundreds gathered at a park here, where his name festooned signs, buttons and T-shirts of supporters. The real estate mogul even talked about the type of people he'd have serve as diplomats and said he was looking forward to releasing his financial disclosures.
"Most very successful people, the kind of people that we need running our country, don't want to be scrutinized and abused," he said. "This is the kind of person that this country must have right now."
He derided President Barack Obama, calling him the worst to occupy the White House in history. He again questioned whether the president was born in the U.S., even though the fact has been affirmed by officials in Hawaii, where Obama was born. And he maligned China, saying the U.S. should take control of Iraqi oil and described American infrastructure as third world.
Trump ticked through a number of issues seen as bedrocks for conservative candidates, saying he is anti-abortion, against gun control and wants to repeal Obama's health care law. Throughout the speech, he portrayed the U.S. as a nation in decline and himself as its potential savior.

‘raucous tea party crowd’=
Didn’t need to read any further.
Which leftist university are you currently a student at?
“So far I see only capons in the group!the woman will fight but it will be a long shot.
Would you care to recompose that sentence? It’s not clear what/who you mean.”
No, and you lose for the reading comprehension Act! any freeper would get that in a second.
What with all the people with signs and buttons for Trump.
One poster correctly called it a Trump-o-rama.
Taxes?
Thankfully, I’m too poor to pay taxes! Cloud, silver lining etc!
:-)
LOL....see ya later!
Donate money to liberals, including ultra liberal Rahm Emanuel, support Obamacare and universal healthcare, practice eminent domain for person gain, and will likely split the GOP vote on put Obama in for another 4 years.
And honey, McCain lost because conservatives wouldn't vote for a RINO.
Here’s some advice......do not throw down with dirtboy.
“Um, yes you can:

Wrong “sweetie” the core sat it out because of RINO Boy!

Absolute childish nonsense. Being a conservative is not in any way defined by whether or not one supports palin.
And, my "attacks" on palin are nothing but stating those aspects of her own words and actions that you palinites would like the rest of the world to ignore.
“Heres some advice......do not throw down with dirtboy.”
Dirty is lost!
Thank you for checking out my profile, I’m flattered by your interest. I would do the same for you but I really don’t give a sh**.
Brain Surgeon You ever do BIG business in NY City?? That should answer your tirade.
Hey genius.
Hillary Clinton, Anthony D. Weiner, Charles Schumer, Charlie Crist, Harry Reid, Arlen Specter, Chris Dodd, Charles Rangel, John Kerry, are all federal government politicans. If one wanted to break the law by giving political donations to a politican and asking for favors in NYC, one would of course give money to a LOCAL NYC politican. You do not get it do you???????????
And BTW smart guy, I've been doing business in NYC half my life.
Check out post #14.
GWB was the last decent man to serve in the White House. I believe he was a thoroughly decent man, and that history will show him overall to have been a very good president on the key issues he was faced with during an extraordinary time in US history.
He was not evil; he was, however, on several points very poorly served. And at the top of the list of those who serve him poorly were McClellan, Martinez and Rove.
Still, the buck stops in the Oval Office, and that poor advice that Bush chose to follow got us Obama. I don’t know who can deny that.
To me, donating to Harry Reid, Schumer, Wiener, Emanual, all during the last couple of years, is helping the Democrats. To me, somebody who wanted Kerry over Bush and somebody who wanted Hillary as president is helping the Democrats. The fact that I have to point out such an obvious thing on FreeRepublic, I find astonishing.
