The Arizona Senate approved the so-called ‘birther’ bill requiring 2012 presidential candidates to prove they were born in the U.S. and are thus eligible to run for president.
The measure, House Bill 2177, is aimed at President Barack Obama and those on the political right who want him to produce a birth certificate proving he was born in Hawaii and not Kenya, where his father if from.
The Arizona Legislature passed the bill 20-8 on a party-line vote in the State Senate with Republicans backing and Democrats opposing.
The measure includes some changes that allow for other documents beside birth certificates to be produced by presidential contenders. It now goes back to the Arizona House of Representatives for another vote. The House previously approved the birther bill without new Senate changes.

I just spoke with Carl Seel, the author of AZ’s bill. He’s got the bases covered, and they’re expecting the House to pass it this afternoon.
I didn’t realize that he’s got a subpoena for Obama’s birth certificate ready; he says if Obama sets foot in Arizona he will have jurisdiction to use that subpoena. Too bad he wasn’t able to take advantage of Obama being in AZ for the Tucson pep rally in January.
Anyway, I feel much better after speaking with him. Standing is granted for any citizen to ensure that *anything* in the law is actually enforced - including the “natural born citizen” phrase, and because it allows legislators to challenge eligibility also and they have subpoena power, a judge could not deny access to the critical transaction logs.
Whew! I feel so much better. I’ll be praying with full force that this bill passes and is signed into law quickly.
Then the leftists will challenge it. But the sooner that process gets underway, the more likely there won’t be an injunction against it still in effect next year.
Now if we can get other states to follow suit...
Thanks for sharing that information! You’ve been a linchpin in this fight. I am so thankful for Trump. He’s doing what the GOP ***should*** have done. I can understand you wishing for more states, but really, one is all it takes. If Barry refuses to qualify in AZ, not even the MSM will be able to cover for him. Trump will go on every show and beat the Kenyan like he owes him (Trump) money. Barry will emerge too politically black and blue to run for dogcatcher, much less POTUS.
I have also been thinking of the probability of court action against this. No where does the Constitution give power to vett presidential candidates to political parties or the US Congress. The Constitution says that all matters regarding elections & the ballots resides with the states, so I think, and mind you, this is just my personal gut feeling...if the occupier's DOJ goes after AZ on this, it will do them more harm than good because it will tip their hand and show that they really have something to hide aka no long form to show because if he was really born at Kapi’olani as they all claim, their will be a document identical to the Nordyke twins certs.

The vulnerability that Seel brought up is that Hawaii will claim they don’t have to honor an AZ subpoena. Of course, that’s total rot, but it would put the issue into court where a corrupt judge could decide whatever he/she wants, the rule of law be damned.
I think we need to keep the public pressure up, just to keep the JUDGES mindful that we the people are watching.
The memo put out by the Congressional Research Service so the Congress-critters could tell us all to go someplace very hot when we wanted them to take up the eligibility issue.... may come back and bite Obama you-know-where.
And the report at http://oig.state.gov/documents/organization/109112.pdf may also, because it specifically recommends that states set their own rules regarding what documents are sufficient proof for various claims - and that they NOT accept a single piece of paper as proof of anything, especially when the records represented on that paper are electronic and can be manipulated.
The Hawaii laws say that subpoenaed documents are to be disclosed. Of course, the laws also say that any person SHALL be given access to government records having their own name (with a few exceptions), and that certified copies for a certificate or the contents of the certificate SHALL be issued upon request (a copy of the certificate is a long-form; a copy of the CONTENTS of a certificate is the short-form) - so the HDOH cannot lawfully deny a copy of the CERTIFICATE when it is requested.
But since when has Hawaii ever had to follow the LAWS?
If somebody in AZ challenges eligibility at least the Hawaii BS will be heard by a judge outside Hawaii. Sure would be nice if Judge John Roll was still alive. But alas - he was killed by a bullet to the aorta at the very time Abercrombie was frantically trying to find a BC for Obama because of the “political implications we just can’t have”, regarding Obama and upcoming state eligibility bills (which at that time was Arizona’s, since no others were yet introduced).

There still is the worry that if the bill is signed into law it will be stuck in litigation until after it’s too late to impact Obama. Those darn judges are the Achilles’ heel of this nation. A person who can blackmail/threaten/bribe the judges has full control of this country.
You make really good points. However, I think the jig was up the minute Trump threw his weight behind the effort. It’s one thing for Barry, the MSM and a cadre of corrupt judges to thumb their noses at We the People. It’s different when a man of Trump’s stature and influence says, ‘I’m onto you; you’re a fraud, and I will expose you’.
They could ignore us just fine—and did. They cannot ignore Trump. He had a hand in getting this AZ bill passed. He won’t stand idly by and watch Obama thwart it.
We’ve entered the winning stretch. It’s just a matter of time, and Barry will be exposed. Thanks to all, and especially to you, Butter; the pressure paid off, and Barry/Steve/Sobarkha(sp?)Dunham whatever-his-name-is living on borrowed (political) time. He’s going down, as are his enablers in the Dem party and the MSM.
