“Nevertheless, lets not forget that there are a lot of people here on FR who have said that Sa-Rah should do the exact same thing if she doesnt win it.”
What if both Trump and Sarah run as “Independents” How does a four way race turn out?
Trump (I)
Palin (I)
Obama (D)
Romney or some other RINO anointee (R)
Any strong third party started by someone who is not a lib gives us Obama.
Obama would win that hands down. He's the only one whose "base" wouldn't be split.
Even if, by some miracle, one of the others pulled it off, they'd have some serious legitimacy issues. Electoral college would likely be a mess, and it'd go to the House, where it's still be a mess because the GOPers would split between Palin and Romney, and maybe even Trump.
Let's just stick to two candidates running, shall we? It's what our system was pretty much designed for.

Trump (I)
Palin (I)
Obama (D)
Romney or some other RINO anointee (R)
In that scenario, Obama wins at least 40 states.
Nobody gets EV majority - House decides election - Romney wins.
Any multi-way race will re-elect Obama.
Rick Perry faced a 4-way in 2006 for Governor ... he won with only 39% of the vote. Or the train wreck in the Colorado Governors race, with Tancredo and a Republican... the Democrat won.
One Liberal Democrat against 3 other non-liberals = Obama wins. Obama gets his 43% of the vote base, and the other 3 split the rest.

Deliberately deceptive question?
Palin has made it plain that she is too smart to run in a third party. She should easily take the GOP nomination if there are no shenanagans. Of course, the elite are good for nothing but shenanagans. (Therefore: Trump)
Want to post a list of those freepers that have said Palin would run third party? Then how about a quote from Palin stating that fact.
We must have a rebirth of Constitutional government or be prepared to live under a tyrannical government made up of both parties.
