Another poster said he’d burn a free Koran but he wouldn’t buy one to burn. I think I would - it just may show how ridiculous this entire episode is. I agree with a mass burning - who cares if they have to be purchsed first? It would be worth it!

They don’t need an excuse to cause mayhem and murder in the world - they just grabbed this for some reason. Then again, they don’t need any reason to do anything - if they can’t kill us, they’ll kill each other.

Can you imagine someone organizing a mass Koran burning somewhere in this country and watching the politicians and media go bonkers? I would love to see others as perturbed as we are over such goings on....

I'd buy one to burn, whatever it costs is worth it. Where is the bonfire?

Only the Arabic text is considered the "real" Quran. An English translation would not count. On that basis, going online, printing off a few pages of Arabic Quran text, and burning those pages would count as burning the Quran.

Here's a question: would printing off some pages of Quranic text, partially burning them so that part of the page is burnt but the unburnt part clearly identifies it as from the Quran, and then pasting the partially burnt pages to telephone poles in arab neighborhoods qualify as performance art? What are the chances of getting a grant for it?
