Basically ~ they share the same legal concepts pioneered in the early days of the Roman Empire (after the Republic), and used continuously right up through the Early Middle Ages.

Most of the rest of the world has advanced way beyond Roman Law ~ but not the Moslems nor your fundamentalist Leftwingtards.
