New poll numbers indicate that Sarah Palin is now as unpopular as Nancy Pelosi.

I agree with you! They are trying to pick the candidate again. If she were so unpopular, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, HLN AB and all the blogosphere wouldn’t obsess over every single word she utters. A truly inept person gets ignored. Like Nancy Pelosi.
You Betcha.
The media is systematically comparing Sarah to all the most unpopular leftist and liberal characters from Al Sharpton to Nancy Pelosi hoping to marginalize her and paint her as a fringe personality.
Won’t work.
Close — but, not quite there. Alliteration is the connecting theme of this Palin/Pelosi Popularity Poll Progressive Propaganda Production.
Can you believe this? They reported this on ABC news (radio)last hour!
Everything that is going on and the msm ‘reports’ this.
Actually the MSM did smell blood when Pelosi was Speaker and was putting her foot in her mouth. They did follow her around and bait her to give more stupid opinions on camera. That one time she actually ran off to hide in China to avoid their questions. They seem to have lost interest now that she has no power, and no-one knew who she was in 2008. But 2009-2010 they found a winning story, get Pelosi to explain stuff on camera, and it was priceless.
None of this makes Pelosi presidential material.
or rather....the cartoon character out there who is being portrayed as Sarah Palin by the media is equally unpopular
ROFLOL Nancy book sold what 1000 copies adn Palins book sold what? I don’t think so Yapoo but nice try!
I’m not discounting the ‘rock and a hard place’ reality here. I agree with that description. Some of the other issues you touched on, were accurate too. There still has to be a balance, and I’m not convinced she got that right.
I’ll give you an example. I would have advised her not to participate in the Alaska series. You want folks to feel like they know you, without seeing you in the every day grind. My personal thought on that, is that it makes you look far more ‘common’ than you want people to see you as, if you’re planning to run for the presidency. There needs to be aura of respect, that commonality tends to break down.
I know a lot of people who support her probably gobbled that up, and I’m not saying she did a bad job at all. I respect that people enjoyed it. I’m just saying that for some folks, it may have been the wrong tactic. Palin may have won new converts. She may also have alienated people.
That’s just my take on it.
I do believe than over-exposure is a real concern.
Thanks for the response.
Bingo! We have a winnah!
The fake polls and hit pieces that try to make the case that Sarah Palin is wildly unpopular with the voting public are all intended to discourage Palin and dampen the enthusiasm of her supporters. Both will fail, big-time. Sarah Palin isn't driven by polls or what the leftist media says about her. If she runs, it will be to actually serve her country, not because she dreamed of being president since she was 12 or to enjoy the perks of power. Palin's supporters (Jim proudly raises his hand) know the leftmedia is dead-set against Palin and that they always try to chose the Republican candidate - the most liberal and/or hopeless - for us. Not this time. If Palin runs, and I think she will, she'll thrash Obama in the 2012 election. He is an utter failure on many fronts and his 'coolness' is now being seen for what it is: an aloofness and obvious disinterest for anything that (a) isn't on his personal agenda and, (b) requires some work on his part. Obama will be gone by January 2013 and Sarah Palin, if she runs, will replace him. The leftmedia, with their BS stories and fake polls can go pound sand.
So, what has Sarah ever said commensurate with the scorching lava spewing from Pelosi’s butt? Palin/Rubio ‘12! Bob
Not a good comparison, Pelosi and Palin is like apples and oranges.
Was Palin trying to be generally popular anyway? There is really no way to know for sure.
One thing is similar. At the end of last year 2010 when Pelosi ran for House minority leader her liberal supporters used the argument that the attacks by the evil special interests were proof of Pelosi’s effectiveness which is why she should continue to lead them. And on the Palin fan side we hear the argument that attacks from the left are proof...
Yes, but there is no substance to the left’s attacks. Or the elitist “right” either, for that matter. Bob
