Ron Schiller says NPR knew of his resignation and new job at the Aspen Institute BEFORE O'Keefe's "Muslim Brotherhood" secret taping at the Georgetown restaurant.
However, today an NPR announcer stated that Ron Schiller, "told them the end of last week (March 4 time frame) that he was leaving the company to take a new job."
Now, if the secretly taped "fundraising interview happened on Feb 22, as stated by O'Keefe, something is rotten in Denmark.
Is it possible that NPR found out between February 22 and March 4 that Ron Schiller had been duped and upon asking him and Ms Liley what had transpired at the luncheon, they whisked Mr. Schiller off to the Aspen Institute ahead of the firestorm they knew was heading their way?
SO is Ron Schiller lying or is NPR lying about when NPR knew he was leaving for safe haven at the Aspen Institute (George Soro funded)?
NPR said it was "appalled" by Ron Schiller's comments. Schiller had already told NPR before the video was shot that he was resigning as president of its fundraising arm and a senior vice president for development. He said in a statement Tuesday night that his resignation would be effective immediately.
NPR Announcer: Ron Schiller told them the end of last week that he was leaving the company to take a new job. Last night his resignation became effective immediately. Postscript at end of AUDIO: Larry Abramson, reporting on 'Morning Edition'
March 9, 2011; 12:14 AM/Washington Post: NPR said his planned departure was unrelated to the video, which was shot Feb. 22.
(AP) "NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik said in a tweet that (Vivian) Schiller was forced out by the board."
But today, Glickman is still there, but Ron's bio has mysteriously disappeared...
NPR exec leaving immediately; will not join Aspen Institute (Ron Schiller)

Well, that didn’t work out for Ron.
I’m sure one of the other LIBERAL groups will give him work.
Now, about NPR knowing about him shooting off his big biased mouth ahead of this storm......
"The comments contained in the video released today are contrary to everything we stand for, and we completely disavow the views expressed. NPR is fair and open minded about the people we cover. Our reporting reflects those values every single day in the civility of our programming, the range of opinions we reflect and the diversity of stories we tell."
"The assertion that NPR and public radio stations would be better off without federal funding does not reflect reality. The elimination of federal funding would significantly damage public broadcasting as a whole."
"Prior to the lunch meeting presented in the edited video, Ron Schiller had informed NPR that he was resigning from his position to take a new job. His resignation was announced publicly last week, and he was expected to depart in May. While we review this situation, he has been placed on administrative leave."
Let me get this straight: 2 Schillers sliced from one scandal? That’s what I call efficiency!
My guess is that they asked Shiller for his comments last week before releasing the tape. When he found he was on tape, he immediately resigned before the tape went public.
I have two quotes from NPR:
1. Schiller told NPR late last week he was leaving the company.
2. Schiller told NPR prior to Feb 22 (date of taping) that he was leaving NPR.
It can’t be both.
WE need to start sending emails to Aspen Institute asking them when they made the job offer to Schiller.
Though we may need to wait a few days as Aspen Institute’s website is-—
“””The site is currently not available due to technical problems. Please try again later. Thank you for your understanding.”””
Can you JUST IMAGINE the “state media” push for the facts if this was a messy PR situation involving Fox News, Weekly Standard or National Review? The howls wouldn’t let up! There would be non-stop calls from Senators and Representatives for INVESTIGATIONS!!
RUSH JUST SAID THERE’S MORE TAPES....*lol*
But he did not inform the Aspen Institute as he should have which is why they also sacked him.
In a sane world, this guy couldn’t get a job at a carnival side show.
But today, Glickman is still there, but Ron's bio has mysteriously disappeared...
No mystery there, after the flap, Schiller isn't going to Aspen Institute, per mutual agreement. We need to keep our eyes, and ears open to discover where this bigoted slimeball actually winds up...
the infowarrior
If NPR is known to have a distinct political bias, then why are donations to NPR tax deductible???
Might be a good question to ask our congress critters.
